orange chicken lovers unite 🐼 @officialpandaexpress had the coolest limited pop up in both NYC and LA! They hosted a 5 course pre fixe dinner with their Culinary Innovation Team. The menu featured both classics and some new items! Walking into the restaurant we saw it was transformed into a dining experience with waiters, a live violinist, coat check, and even a photo op area. The courses we had were: -Welcome drink: inspired by Panda Crafted Beverages with lychee syrup, lychee puree, smoked black tea and lemon juice -Surprise amuse bouche: my fave orange chicken with a little sprinkle sprinkle✨ aka gold flakes -bread service: toasted Chinese donut (IFYKYK) bread basket served with burrata, topped with sesame, chili crisp, scallion, and a delicious cilantro jalapeño relish (one of my fave dishes of the night!!) -appetizer: Mongolian beef sandwiches made with shaved ribeye, topped with cheese sauce and onions, served with a side of lotus root and yam chips -main course: Firecracker Shrimp made with fresh cut veggies and all wok-tossed in a spicy fermented black bean sauce. This was served with quinoa brown fried rice and a tofu and eggplant side -dessert: the ‘tea’ramisu made with chiffon cake, milk tea, mascarpone, and whipped cream This was such a unique experience and it was crazy to hear that this event was being catered by the same caterers who have served at the Met Gala before😳 Follow @worldeatsjen for more food adventures! #pandaexpress #nycexperience #nycfoodie #nycfoodgals #nycfoodinsta #nycfoodguide #nycdining #orangechicken #worldeatsjen

Have you tried this one michelin star korean restaurant? @jua.nyc offers a 7 course tasting menu (add-ons available) for $135, rotating some of their dishes seasonally. A few of my favorites from the menu i tried: -caviar kim: i was not expecting the crispness of the seaweed! It almost tasted like a seaweed chip wrapped around a bed of caviar 😳 -uni kim (add on) -abalone jook (abalone was add on) -galbi & the plate of banchan Follow @worldeatsjen for more NYC food recs! #nycrestaurants #nyceats🍽 #nyceatstagram #nycfoodie #nycfoods #michelinstarrestaurant #nycfoodinsta

Would you try matcha ramen?🍜 @chamenyanyc offers a variety of options including matcha and hojicha ramen broth! I unfortunately didn’t get to try the hojicha broth but it’s next on my list. The matcha broth is a vibrant green and is chicken based whereas the hojicha is pork based! @worldeatsjen #matcharamen #nycramen #ramenlovers #ramenlife #nycrestaurants #nycfoodgals #nycfoodguide #nycfood

Newly minted 1 michelin star restaurant in nyc @essentialbychristophe is located on the upper west side and earned its first michelin star this year within a year of being open! They offer a few different tasting menus but we opted for their essential menu: -mushroom cappuccino: sweet potato & Madeira reduction -wild red king crab: crispy cereal, kyoka radish, calamansi -blue prawns: topped with imperial caviar, genmaicha tuile, dill & chive bouillon -scallop: fresh shucked each day & lightly cooked with sunchikes in a fennel-shoyu sauce -black bass (favorite dish): cuit au plat, shiitake chutney, razor clams, & tumeric emulsion -a choice between duck or New Zealand venison (we got both to share) -le gin ‘dandy’: basil lime sorbet, dandy gin sabayon, hazelnut praline -a choice of dessert (we got both to share) between a warm manjari chocolate tart w/ Sicilian pistachio ice cream and vacherin with clementine marmalade, bergamot, orange blossom, and kaffir lime sorbet -our server also provided us with a warm soufflé and petit fours as well separate from the menu🤍 @worldeatsjen #essentialbychristophe #michelinstarrestaurant #nycrestaurants #nycrestaurant #nyceats #nycfoodguide

Ever tried Scandinavian food? @askanyc is a 2 Michelin star experience located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn where you can experience a 12-14 course tasting menu from chef Fredrick Berselius. It’s a unique menu mostly focused on seafood and their dishes are centered around the sauces they make with technical complexities (like elderflower foam😮) Since it’s 2 Michelin, the price tag is $$$$ and you can reserve only through their booking portal online! @worldeatsjen #aska #scandinavianfood #michelinstarrestaurant #nycrestaurant #nycfoodie #nycfoodblogger

managed to snag a last minute reservation @_oxomoco_ is located in greenpoint, brooklyn and has some unique and elevated dishes. All plates are meant to be shared - the ambiance is nice but if the inside is booked up, they also have heated outdoor seating as well. We ordered: -soy marinated tuna tostada -blue prawn aguachile with shrimp head oil (my favorite) -caviar tuna tartare -lamb barbacoa tacos -grilled Berkshire pork chop @worldeatsjen #michelinstarrestaurant #nycrestaurants #nyceatstagram #nyceating #nycfoodie #nycfood #worldeatsjen

Insider Look: What it’s like to Eat a Pink Pineapple

As a self-proclaimed food blogger, some of my happiest moments stem from experiences with food, so it was no surprise that I was ecstatic when I was offered an amazing opportunity to taste the Pinkglow™ Pineapple by Fresh Del Monte  before it is released to the public this year! Below you’ll be able to learn some fun facts about what makes the pineapple pink, how it tastes, and how it is grown. I can’t wait for you all to try it when it releases!

Best Things to Eat in Portland, ME 2020

Portland is a hot spot for those looking to get out of the NY, NJ, and CT tri-state area. I may or may not have had been subliminally influenced to go to Maine after watching countless Instagram stories of friends traveling away, scarfing down lobster rolls at every meal. However, scarfing down lobster rolls at every meal is exactly what I did when I travelled up to Maine, because where else would you get some of the freshest lobster on the East Coast? Be sure to check the quarantining rules before traveling to Maine if you’re residing outside of NY, NJ, and CT.

Cook with Me!:Shin Ramen and Jjapaguri Crusted Baked Chicken Wings

1 pack of chicken wings (or however many you want to cook) 3 large eggs (this depends on how many wings you will cook, but 3 eggs was more than enough to cover a pack of 12 wings) 1-2 packs of Shin Ramen (depending on how many wings you will cook) 1 pack of chicken wings (or however many you want to cook) 3 large eggs (this depends on how many wings you will cook, but 3 eggs was more than enough to cover a pack of 12 wings) 1 pack of Chapagetti (dependent on how many wings you will cook) 1 pack of Neoguri It’s a 1 for 1 ratio of Chapagetti and Neoguri packs (e.g. adding 2 packs of Chapagetti equals 2 packs of Neoguri) 2. For each flavor of wings, use a food processor or blender (pulse setting works best) to crush the ramen and powdered seasoning together. You’ll want to make sure the noodles are grinded together, but not too ground up where it becomes powder, as you’ll want to retain some of the dried ramen texture.

Strawberry Jam Matcha Chocolate Cups

2-3 tsp of matcha (depending how strong of a taste you like) 1. Add roughly a 1 tsp of matcha chocolate to each paper cup. Once the first layer of chocolate has hardened, take the tray out of the refrigerator and scoop a tsp of strawberry jam into each cup. Add in roughly 2 tsp of matcha chocolate to cover the strawberry jam and fill out the top layer
