How To Support Pride All Year Round

Since Pride month I have been continuing to team up with my friends at State Farm to post about LGBTQ+ issues and highlight some of the great work organizations are doing to advance LGBTQ+ rights and support across the country. Make a regular donation Regular donors make such a difference to a not-for-profits as they provide more certainty and stability for the organization and helps them to plan and invest into their great work. We have a long way to go, but I know in my experience one of the most powerful experiences in changing minds is getting to know people and talking to them. I know this isn’t going to change everyone’s mind, but I still think it is really important and effective way to change hearts and minds so that everyone in the LGBTQ+ community feels free to live their truth.

Metropol Parasol: World's Largest Wooden Structure -

Metropol Parasol was designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer and is known locally as ‘Las Setas’, which means giant mushrooms — the name coming from the six parasols shaped like mushrooms that make up the structure. I was interested to learn how the design was inspired by the vaults of the Cathedral of Seville and the ficus trees situated in Plaza de Cristo de Burgos. Mayer’s design of Las Setas brings much needed shade to the square — shade I’m not the biggest fan of heights (read: sweaty palms just thinking about anything higher than the second floor of a building!), but I genuinely enjoyed wondering the walkways up top of the Metropol Parasol.

Four Reasons Grilling Season Doesn’t End After Labor Day

Everyone knows the old adage that Labor Day is the unofficial end of Summer even though Fall doesn’t officially begin until Sept 23rd, with warm weather often lasting long into October here in NYC. Great deals on Grills and Outdoor furniture and wares This time of year is the perfect time to buy outdoor furniture, outdoor wear and grills because lots of retailers like Home Depot have great offers available. For my grill setup I got the Traegar Eastwood wood pellet grill, which is perfect for vegetables as it burns wood pellets to create the heat and smoke. Rain doesn’t have to ruin the party with furniture covers Admittedly, fall can mean more unpredictable weather so my advice is to make sure you get some outdoor furniture covers early on so that you have them to hand when the weather turns.

The 101 On Putting A Fiberglass Pool In Your Backyard

Finally, people often like the softer feeling of fiberglass pools because you are a lot less likely to graze your skin on a step as it feels smooth rather than a rough stone or tile. As plaster isn’t completely impermeable gunite pools tend to require more chemicals than fiberglass pools. The pool and installation all in was c.$30K which we felt was a wise use of our savings because it’s added value to the property and it’s become a catalyst for relaxation at the house. The pool looks great as it’s in perfect proportion to the backyard and the house, plus it’s in the sun all day.
