We were introduced to Cascarones (Confetti Eggs) the first Easter we lived on the Mexican border. Leave the eggs in the dye for about 2 minutes each and then set them to dry. Once the eggs are completely dry you are ready to fill them with confetti. For faster DIY confetti use a cross cut paper shredder and colorful paper.
These three layer mint brownies are 1 part delicious homemade brownie, 1 part mint frosting and 1 part chocolate topping. Unless that brownie has a layer of mint of course. Each of the steps is pretty darn simple, it just needs time to set in between, so I like to make them when I am home most of the day doing other things. Once the brownies have set in the fridge, slice them with a knife and serve, but don’t be surprised if the entire pan vanishes pretty quick.
I thought I loved my Valentine’s Day mantel, but it has been since overshadowed by my St. Patrick’s Day mantel. The whole St. Patrick’s Day mantel is bright, cheery and my current favorite part of my house. and I love them so much I want to find a place for them long after St. Patrick’s Day is over. I have found the trick to having flowers from the dollar store look good in a vase is to combine a few sprigs of them.

I personally LOVE going all out for St. Patrick’s Day because it is the anniversary of my husband They are my favorite treat, my mom used to make them for me at Christmas when I was a kid and it made me decide that chocolate covered pretzels should be a year round treat, not just a Christmas one.
