The road up to Halfway River hotsprings is 11km of unpaved forestry road, although for a gravel road The hottest pool, right beside the cedar shack: If you’re feeling adventurous, throw on your flip flops and head to the small pool right along the banks of the river. If you’re visiting in the spring or early summer there may not be much of a pool left, but once the river calms down it’s rebuilt to keep out a bit of the river. If you don’t want to spend the night camping at Halfway River Hot Springs, Nakusp is the best place to stay.
You could plan your day around where you’d like to be for your first coffee, mid-morning coffee, lunch coffee and whoops-it’s-too-late-in-the-day-I-shouldn’t-have-had-that coffee! John Ward Fine Coffee is another great coffee option, but this one is right on Baker Street. But if you’re looking for things to do in Nelson BC in summer, the lake should be high on your list. It’s easy to drive right past Salmo on Hwy 3 and miss the turn-off on Hwy 6 to Nelson.
This will introduce you to the best street food in HCMC, and give you a good introduction to ensure you choose safe and delicious food options on the streets of Vietnam. Pick up will be from your Hanoi hotel quite early in the morning, so I recommend staying at The Aquarius Hotel, right across the street from their Old Town office. You’ll board your boat around noon and enjoy a late lunch as you cruise past the crowded Ha Long Bay to the magnificent, uncrowded, Bai Tu Long Bay. If you do it this way you’ll spend more time traveling between places, but you’ll make the most of your 10 day tour of Vietnam.
Here you’ll find valuable tips and info about travelling in Montenegro with kids including the best places to visit, family friendly places to stay and kid-approved meals (including ice cream stops…of course!). I must caveat that we didn’t visit Stari Grad (the Old Town) in Budva, and that may have endeared me to the city a bit more than lunch in a tourist trap! Near the heart of Budva’s city centre, and along the promenade, Hotel Budva is the perfect choice for experiencing everything Budva has to offer. Offering perhaps the best view of Sveti Stefan “island”, these basic but clean and well appointment apartments are the perfect place to stay if you don’t mind a short walk to the beach.
