If you wanna live a life you’ve never lived, you have to do things you’ve never done. To create a different life, you have to do different things. 🧨 So let’s go Costanza on everyone this new year and do the opposite from what we’ve done before. Say yes, sit still with discomfort, and take new actions to break the old habits that imprison you. It’s now or never. . . . #vanlifers #vanlifediaries #hotsprings #nakedinnature #colorado #coloradolife #optoutside #solofemaletraveler #solofemaletravel #womenwhohike #womenwhotravel #inspirationalquotes #inspirationalwords #vanlifemovement #nakedadventures #alwaysgoswimming #solofemalevanlife #backpacking #backpackingadventures #backpackinglife #lovecolorado #coloradogirl #coloradogirls

No Clue What To Do With Your life? Try Defining Your Core Values.

Freedom from the prison of a 9-5 job, freedom to travel for more than two weeks a year, and freedom to design the life of your dreams. n’t know which direction to swim, I take a step back and define my core values. In this exercise, you’ll choose 3-5 top core values that you want to embody. I’ve created a downloadable worksheet with an extensive list of core values and an exercise to determine your top core values.

This country is so gorgeous, we need to keep it that way! With camper van travel booming, it's essential to treat our public lands right. 🌿 That's why I've partnered with Dometic, who's dedicated to conservation education & stewardship. Swipe to learn more about how to take care of your campsites when you arrive (always check for fire bans), while you're enjoying it, and when you depart (always leave it better than when you found it)! Show Mother Earth that you appreciate her for allowing us humans to temporarily crash her pad. 🐻 Dometic is donating $25,000 (!!!!) to build pit toilets at free campsites near the Grand Tetons and Dometic has joined @conservationalliance as a member! Check out my stories for the link to donate to the project! 🌎 My Dometic fridge is my vanlife lifeline (and heads up Nissan NV campers-- the Dometic CFX3-45 cooler fits perfectly between the two front seats)! 🍓 Proud to be with @dometic @conservationalliance and their #thedestinationdeclaration #leaveitbetter . . . #leavenotrace #protectpubliclands #vanlife #campervan #gonecamping #optoutside #getoutside #naturemakesmehappy #nationalparks #blmland #californialove #leaveitbetterthanyoufoundit #loveourplanet #outsideisfree

Don't Get Breast Implants

On November 5, 2019, after 5 years of having 250cc silicone implants under my chest muscles, I had breast explant surgery and had my fake boobs removed with Dr. Jae Chun in Newport Beach, California. Here’s the proposed language directly from the FDA’s website: We now know that breast implants are linked to several types of autoimmune disorders including BIA-ALCL, which is a cancer of the immune system. There’s a line between self-improvement and self-acceptance and it’s NOT on the other end of the scalpel. It wasn’t done out of love for my body, it was done out of fear that I wasn’t good enough the way I was naturally.

As we reflect on the hell storm of 2020 and plan for 2021, I recommend asking yourself the following question: What are the 5 best decisions you made in 2020? 💭 Instead of focusing on everything that was out of your control, what did you do that was within you’re control that you’re proud of? All things considered— ALL painful disappointments and tragic losses considered— what 5 choices did you make that were the best ones for you? 💜 It’s not what happens to us that matters, it’s our reaction that creates our reality. 🧬 One of my 5: Finally making fitness a priority in my daily & weekly life. The potential for healing & growing within us is limitless and I feel like I’m just scratching the surface. Share one your 5 below! . . . #mexico #sayulita #solofemaletraveler #solofemaletravel #solofemalevanlife #digitalnomadlife #digitalnomads #digitalnomadlifestyle #yogalove #yogi #yogisofinstagram #yogagirl #yogagoals #fitnessjourney #vanlifeexplorers #puertovallarta #puertovallartamexico #airbnb #airbnbhomes #solotravel #solotraveler #meditationpractice #newyearsgoals #fitnessgoals #yogapractice

What You Need to Know about Tampon Alternatives like Organicup

Like most things in the world of beauty and hygiene, not all reusable menstrual cups are created equally. That’s why I’ve teamed up with the brilliant ladies behind OrganiCup to spread the word on this worthy company and let people know why tampon alternatives are so important. By using this one single product, I am not using the 2600+ feminine products the average woman goes through in a decade. How to Use a Reusable Menstrual Cup Even though I knew the reusable menstrual cup was the best option for my health and the environment, I’m not gonna lie–

I have a lot to learn when it comes to preserving and protecting nature. Sometimes I make mistakes. Sometimes I recycle incorrectly or I back Freebird into a bush when navigating a parking spot. Admitting your mistakes can be scary but if we pretend like we know everything, we’ll never learn anything. 🌎 It’s ok to not know the right way to compost or how to properly bury your poop in the woods— this isn’t something most of us learned in school. If there’s something you don’t know, you can bet that you’re not the only one. Be brave and ask questions. (Quick lesson— bury your poop 6-8” deep and always go to the bathroom at least 200 feet (70 adult paces) from water, trials, and camp.) 🤗 Commit to protecting nature because nature gives us everything. It makes us happy, calms our nerves, and connects us to a higher power that’s greater than we know. Nature is the answer to all of our questions. 🔥 I’m grateful to partner with @dometic on their #destinationdeclaration campaign with @conservationalliance. My @dometic fridge keeps my healthy local food cold so I can share it with vanlifers who make me smile like @jesseedeal 🥗 . . . #colorado #explorecolorado #dometic #conservation #homeiswhereyouparkit #vanlifegirls #coloradogirl #solofemaletravel #solofemalevanlife #projectvanlife #offgrid #vanlifecooking #exploretocreate #welivetoexplore #camperlifestyle #vanlifers #exploremore #lifeontheroad #roadtrip #roadtrippin #roadtripping

My Non-Toxic, Low-Waste Van Life Beauty Routine

This van life beauty routine post supports non-toxic, low-waste, eco-friendly companies (many of which are women-owned!). An essential part of my van life beauty routine is washing my face and body with homemade charcoal soap that I purchase from local Farmer’s Markets I find on the road. I know some people have issues finding a natural deodorant that works, but Nubian Heritage is free of scary chemicals and gets the job done for me! With that in mind, the oxbenzone/octinoxate free, cruelty free, oil free Alba Lavender Sunscreen is a smart pick that keeps me protected.

It’s been one year since I got my breast implants removed. Here’s what I’ve learned: 〰️ All boobs are awesome. 〰️ Believing that a body part isn’t “good enough” is a belief that you are not “good enough.” There’s no surgical cure for that ailment. 〰️ The belief that you need to look a certain way to be worthy of love is bullsh*t embedded into your brain from the corporate powers that be, intentionally making you feel insecure so you consume precious time, energy, and money changing your physical appearance instead of changing the world. 〰️ Don’t make permanent decisions based on temporary situations. 〰️ It sucks to learn lessons the hard way, but sharing those lessons with others helps them see the light without diving so deep into the darkness. 〰️ I never thought I’d be naked covered in paint on the side of a camper van for a photoshoot with vanlifer @parkerjpfister for a TV show about vanlife, but life is full of surprises. Just say yes. 📸 by @parkerjpfister

I’m not f*cking around when I say you can manifest your dreams. I’ve had the goal “host a TV show” written in my journal since I first moved into a van in 2018. 📺 It almost happened once and I found myself sitting with executives in the @bravotv Hollywood studios. Then it almost happened again when I was in a “sizzle” for another very large network. There was never a “no” — it was always just a “not yet.” ⏳ And to be honest with you, I was never disappointed. I KNEW it would happen. I imagined myself being filmed everyday talking to the camera, interviewing amazing humans, and going on crazy adventures. 🌏 So when @thewanderlustwomen & @seanoreillyfilm pitched me about hosting a vanlife TV series in January, I knew this was THE ONE. It’s actually happening- right now! And it’s been better (and way harder) than I ever could have imagined. 🎥 Sometimes it takes years to manifest your dreams, but don’t give up. Keep planting those seeds in the universe and water them like a mother fu*ker.
