Hi there :)

My name is Nadia and I help individuals live happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives by sharing my experience and expertise in fitness, nutrition, and wellness. I have 8+ years of experience leading fun and effective group training and 1:1 workouts and 15+ years of experience blogging and creating content online.

As a fitness professional, I spend a ton of time in workout clothing and using fitness gear. I am always excited to share new finds with my community. I also enjoy mentoring other fitness professionals, so any opportunity to share advice on technical aspects of managing a career as an instructor (i.e. best certifications, audio and video equipment for streaming/filming workouts, setting up payment systems, etc.) is right up my alley!

Health and Fitness Habits to Give Up In 2021

What we need to do is stop following protocol that wasn’t made for us and start building a routine of habits that will last. 1-2 days of foam rolling and active mobility (stretching or yoga) alone A great place to start if you’re new is with foam rolling and stretching. There’s this idea in the world of fitness and self help that if we only build the DISCIPLINE required or muster up the WILLPOWER to get up early, go to the gym before work, work out to failure every time we exercise, practice a habit for 30/66/90 days in a row without a break, etc. It may take some trial and error, but as I’ve witnessed working with nutrition and lifestyle clients, when we’re willing to shed the old ideas about what it takes to achieve our goals, we’re more open to learning new methods that are better suited to our bodies and our unique lives.

Although I will always emphasize the fact that a combination of healthy eating, lifestyle habits, and consistent workouts are the golden combination for losing weight and building muscle, the TYPES of workouts you include in your regimen can make a huge difference when it comes to getting lasting results. Besides weight loss, a few key benefits of regular cardio include lowering your blood pressure, reducing stress, improving sleep, and boosting your mood. Although no one combination of strength, cardio, and mobility/flexibility training will make the perfect routine for everyone, simply having these three elements will provide you with the basic structure you need to maintain a comprehensive fitness regimen. While strength and cardio training are necessary for weight loss and body composition goals, mobility and flexibility work provide essential building blocks for optimizing workouts and recovering from them.
