A special dress made by a special woman. â¤ď¸ @applewood_lane Lily looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous blessing dress that my mom handmade for her. This was in no way a chore for her. Sewing is something that gives her so much joy and is probably even therapeutic for her. She is a woman of many talents but she has always been an incredible seem-stress. Growing up watching her sew was a happy memory for me, because I knew it made her so happy. She has sewn a million things but this is one of my favorite pieces she has ever made and holds a lot of sentimental value. I hope that when my girls are older that they will look at their blessing dresses that my mom made for them and think, wow my Gigi must love me so much to make this beautiful dress just for me. I also wish for these dresses to be passed down to future generations as a reminder that they come from a line of talented ambitious women.
