There is this stigma around women lifting weights. Instead of cautioning women on “getting bulky” 🙄 (which is another topic for another day) why don’t we encourage women to get stronger instead of just getting “skinny” Tons of cardio won’t make you strong. Starving yourself to get “skinny” won’t make you strong. Extreme dieting doesn’t make you strong We carry the kids, we carry the bags, we carry all the things to and from every single day. We should be encouraged the most!! Have you ever had a moment where you should have been able to lift something…and couldn’t. I have. Have you ever toted your kid around, maybe held them on line for a ride at Disney and after 30 seconds literally could not hold them anymore? If you want to hold your children after the age of 3, you need to lift weights. If you want to be able to have energy and strength to hold your grandchildren, you need to lift weights. If you want to burn fat and “lean out”….lift weights.
