Hi everyone! My name is Leah and I live in Las Vegas, NV. I am a full time district attorney and a full time mom to my two beautiful and wild children Savannah and London. Parenting is a 24/7 roller coaster of ups and downs. The mommy counsel is dedicated to helping moms and parents along that ride. how partners can help pregnant women 👨👩👧👦 *Disclaimer- not pregnant-this photo is old lol** I feel like when us moms are pregnant- we still try to be superwoman. No matter how we are feeling, we still want to try to do it all. If you’ve been following me for awhile you know I had HORRIBLE pregnancies. I relied so much on scott to help me through those days and he was a real rockstar. Here’s a couple ways he helped me that really made the rough days better (now listen me relinquishing control was definitely hard but we will chat about that later) 🚙🚙 drove me everywhere but work lol! Driving became such a chore and just having him let me relax in the passenger seat helped so much 🥨🥨 kept me fed. Y’all know I like to cook but it was not happening during pregnancy. Even though scott doesn’t cook- he still kept dinner on the table in his own way lol! 👂 listened to me complain. Honestly sometimes you just need to cry and having a listening ear. Baby food intro 2.0 Let’s talk baby led weaning! Last week I talked about introducing babies to food through purées. With Savannah we did purées for awhile but London was not having purées. He saw sissy eating big people food and he was like “yep I want that”. I was really nervous at first to give big people food because I was so paranoid about him chocking. But here’s a couple tips I picked up from my mommy friends when it comes to introducing big people food: 👶🏼 It’s a natural reflux for babies to gag when learning to eat. Always watch them intently but let them learn the natural act of eating 🍓 cut food into strips so they can grasp and naw 🥑 keep it really soft and mushy. toddler bed transition Ok this sounds really sad but Savannah just transitioned like 5 months ago from her crib to a toddler bed 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ In fairness- she’s like two feet tall and she never even attempted in 4 years to climb out of her crib. And if I’m being honest- her being in a crib was easier for me too. When we did make the transition to toddler bed- I was super nervous wondering if she was going to be walking around the house in the middle of the night or hurting herself or messing up this sleep routine we’ve worked so hard to establish for the last # of years. Here’s a couple things we did to try to make the transition work: 🛌 talk confidently to her: “savannah- it’s big girl bed time. You only get up if you need to go potty. Mommy will always come get you in the morning 🛌 kept the nighttime routine consistent every night 🛌 let’s be real- BRIBERY 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Please give me your tips on how to keep them in the toddler bed 😫😫👇🏽👇🏽

3 ways to naturally increase milk supply During your breastfeeding or pumping journey did you ever struggle with milk supply? 🐄🐄🐮 breastfeeding and pumping will literally have you feeling like a human cow 😂. But at some points during the journey you may have felt like your milk supply was drying up or you weren’t making as much as you wanted. Rest assured- any amount of milk you make is awesome! My supply tended to decrease right before my period, if I was super stressed or I was sleep deprived.
