Mom | Wife | Boss. I used to think it was "cheesy" when women would describe themselves like this. I would laugh at people who called themselves "mompreneur", and wondered why these people needed to address themselves as such. ... And look at me now, that's exactly who I am. A mom, a wife and a boss. In all honesty, I stumbled on the "boss" part. Working for myself - or rather, working with brands I love is my full time job. Sharing products and services I have experiences with and being in these influencer streets is my full time job. A few days ago, I read a post from @wheel.life.in.the.wheel.world where she addressed someone who didn't understand why she had "paid adverts" on her page and well, I had to share my two cents in her comment section (slide 2). Then I went further in my stories to share more about life as a disabled woman who chooses to work (and make money) in Murica - slide 3 and 4. ⭐I don't know who needs to hear this, but please read slide 4 one more time. I know that a lot of you follow me for the "inspirational" content I share, and while it's my joy to inspire and give hope to people, I never want you to forget that when you see those "paid partnerships", they are answered prayers. There was a time when the only choice I had was to have next to zero dollars in my bank account so that the government will deem me worthy to get "benefits". I chose to rise above that because the dream goal was NEVER TO BE AVERAGE. So we move, we work, and we get these coins. Still though, we will one day uncover how people with disabilities (all across the world) are somehow made to feel like it's their fault for not being able to do what their able-bodied counter parts do. It's all of your comments on my last post for me 😂 Yes y'all, that's MY DADDY, Zuri's grandpa. 61+ years old and so blessed. Watching him run after his granddaughter is EVERYTHING Okaayyy. So many emotions I can't put into words. Y'all see me as an influencer today who enjoys sharing bits of her life through photos and videos (and gets to work with amazing brands doing what she loves), but this man right here fueled my love for all things photo/video. He bought me my first camera, took all the photos I would post on my hi5 page back in the day (if you know you know), and always has my back. Hashtag blessed. Hashtag that's my daddy.
