Since then, it’s been extended and connects to more lines making it easier than ever to avoid the gridlock of the worst traffic congestion in the world (ranked by INRIX, a leader in transportation analytics and connected car services). Through the back doors of Cafe Birdie, you’ll find a wonderful outdoor space and seating area that leads to the second bar, Good Housekeeping. This bar is one of my all time favorites where everyone behind the bar knows how to craft amazing cocktails, understands the classics, and you instantly are made to feel like family. A quick Lyft or Uber ride back to the Gold Line Highland Park Station can close out your night without having to worry about driving.
Where to stay in London If your idea of vacation is being surrounded by beautiful things, superb service, elevated food and craft cocktails, then The Edition London is the best place to stay in London The second is Berner’s Tavern, offering a full menu of delicious eats, snacks, and craft cocktails. The third is the Punch Room offering an intimate space with its wood finished walls, inviting lounge furniture and relaxed lighting. The hotel rooms are beautifully decorated with exquisite clean lines and finishes that are reminiscent of mid century modern style of furniture.
On my trip to San Francisco, I selected Stay Pineapple🍍 – great boutique brand of hotels that is popping up around the nation. The bar has fantastic craft cocktails and I highly recommend enjoying the lobby lounge area with its inviting couches with various seating areas. Each night I looked forward to wearing the robe provided in the room and stayed in bed an extra hour every morning, sipping coffee, watching TV. I cannot wait to try the other Stay Pineapple locations that include Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Chicago, and Boston.
In spending so much time with them, I’ve developed a true admiration and respect for the countless, often thankless, hours that go into learning the craft. I’ve learned that the really good bartenders are those who have somehow become obsessed with a well balanced, delicious and creative cocktail. Thank you Amanda, Charity, Pedro, Raul and Yan for participating in my passion project. Thank you Fernet-Branca for the love and support of a project that was coming from the unknown.
