Highlights
Fotofabriek - The Adventures of MiSa

A lot of photo album services use chemicals in their production. When a company orders in bulk, they try to choose the best and most sustainable distributor for that order in the area. For the paper of the album they use certified FSC-paper (paper from responsible sources). Using PET they aim for a quality that lasts longer and doesn’t end up in the bin any time soon.

HVH Giftbox - The Adventures of MiSa

Tony pays every farmer an extra “Tony” premium on top of the fair trade premium. By buying (for example) cocoa beans from a farmer for five years, means that the farmer is “safe”. Tony’s Chocolonely is sustainable in a way that they’re helping to make this world a better place. The silver foil is a little more difficult, but it’s way better than plastic and you can have some artsy fun with it!

Water bottles - The Adventures of MiSa

Every single day people use single-use plastic bottles. In 2016, according to statistics by The Guardian, more than 480 billion single-use plastic bottles were sold. Not only because they’re ugly, can break easily in your schoolbag full of books (been there done that) or are bad for the environment, but also because they’re bad for you health. Or that a lot of companies producing those water bottles are trying to keep their costs as low as possible and manufacturing at places where there is a limited water supply?

Oatmeal Cookies - The Adventures of MiSa

First get all your ingredients ready, a scale, two bowls and something to stir (a whisk is not ideal for this kind of dough). – Mix the brown sugar, the oil and the egg in the other bowl until it looks nice. – Roll the dough into balls, a little smaller than pingpong balls, and place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Bake them for 15 minutes in the oven, let them cool down for about 10 minutes and they’re ready to eat!
