When they use their top-performing hashtag, #thesweatlife, they see at least 1k more likes on their photos!⠀ ⠀ While Athleta doesn’t outperform Lululemon when it comes to hashtags, they do outperform them when it comes to the caption category. ⠀ ⠀ They do a great job of creating content that is centered around health. They consistently promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and it clearly resonates with their followers. Whenever their posts are geared towards health, they see a major improvement in their likes & comments!⠀ ⠀ Are you team #lululemon or team #athleta ?!? Let us know in the comments!

We’ve come up with 3 tips on how you can navigate social media for your business during COVID-19.⠀ ⠀ ✅Listen & Acknowledge: Let your followers know that you’re listening and acknowledge our new normal. It shows that you actually care!⠀ ⠀ ✅Continue to Show Up: People are online now more than ever and it’s important you stay connected to them. Going radio silent isn’t the answer. If you’re unable to market or sell your products or services right now, focus on sharing content that aligns with your brand values instead. Valuable content does so much for your brand growth.⠀ ⠀ ✅Provide Organic Value: Turn your Instagram into a valuable resource for your audience. Social Media Tip of the Week📲⠀ ⠀ Know Your Audience⠀ ⠀ Although COVID-19 has been extremely hard on most businesses, it has also allowed businesses to reconstruct their marketing campaign.⠀ ⠀ Knowing your audience is key to your brand success. If you’ve been marketing your brand for a while, you might be tempted to skip this step. You already know your customer, right? Maybe, but do you know them in their current state? ⠀ ⠀ Are there additional audience opportunities that you haven’t assessed that you could test now? ⠀ ⠀ It doesn’t matter who you are — now is an excellent time to take a step back and re-acquaint yourself with your ideal client.⠀ ⠀ One way to do this is to Identify the basic information.⠀ ⠀ Answer questions such as age, location, gender, basic interests, income level, etc. Once you have a basic outline of a profile, go further and ask yourself, “So what?” and “What does this mean?” ⠀ ⠀ This in-depth knowledge of your clients will set the tone for everything you do during a crisis like COVID-19 and even beyond. ⠀ ⠀ What’s one way you have switched up your marketing?
Kylie vs Kim…⠀ ⠀ Who did it better?⠀ ⠀ When it comes to “time,” most aspiring influencers have the same 2 questions..⠀ ⠀ 1. How many times a day should I post?⠀ 2. What time of day is best to post?⠀ ⠀ QMocha has the ability to answer both of these questions for you with the “time” category on your report card.⠀ ⠀ Today, we decided to take a look at 2 of the top makeup brands in the world, @KKWbeauty & @Kyliecosmetics ⠀ ⠀ Kylies overall grade for time is a C while Kim’s overall grade for time, is a B.⠀ ⠀ You probably are thinking “well clearly Kim did it better, her grade is higher.”⠀ ⠀ Ironically enough, Kylie out performs Kim when it comes to “best time to post,” but Kim out performs Kylie when it comes to frequency of posts. ⠀ ⠀ For best time to post, Kylie Cosmetics receives a B. Her best time to post is Friday’s at 1pm. When posting at this time, she gets the best engagement!⠀ ⠀ For frequency of posts, Kim gets an A. When she posts 3x a day, she sees much higher engagement. ⠀ ⠀ Our advice for these sisters? Kylie should post at least 4x a day to improve her score, while Kim should post more on Sundays at 12pm!⠀ ⠀ What’s your report card say for time?
Are you writing captions the length of an essay? ⠀ ⠀ Or are your captions 10 words or less?⠀ ⠀ Whether you’re writing short or long captions, it’s important to find out the optimal length in characters of your caption text to boost your engagement. ⠀ ⠀ Let’s take a look at @sephora and @ultabeauty !!⠀ ⠀ While short captions work well for Ulta, (16-70 characters), long captions perform best for Sephora (181-360 characters). But here’s the kicker, if both accounts are looking for just “likes” then we suggest they stick to these caption lengths…⠀ ⠀ If they’re looking for more comments, then for Utla, we suggest they create very long captions(361-2220). For Sephora, short captions generate the most comments!⠀ ⠀ In the end, depending on which metric means more to you and your brand, getting a grasp on caption length can help with engagement significantly.⠀ ⠀ What do the length of your captions typically look like? Let us know in the comments!
