My husband knows how much I love to take pictures but we never have the time to make plans to get it done. So tonight we happened to be driving around when he asked if I felt up to a short photoshoot with Logan (well of course I was!) We may not have been our best dressed, but I think these look pretty awesome. Thank you babe for capturing our personalities and for making sure I have these to look back on when Logan gets older.

So I’ve lost weight. Noticeably so I think at this point. The amount of unsolicited and outright weird/rude questions I’ve been asked is starting to get to me I will say. I’ve been asked what drugs I’m on, if I throw up after I eat, and I’ve even been asked if it is due to a rise in marital relations with my husband. Like, can we not ask questions like that to people??? I made the conscious decision to cut out soda, alcohol, cigarettes, most baked goods and a number of other things I realized just didn’t work for my body. It is NO ONE’s business what I do to or for my body. The path I’m on is a healthy one, I know this, but because no one else sees what I do in my personal life, they assume, and that sh*t hurts. I simply wanted to be a better version of myself for my son and my husband, but most of all for ME. I was tired of feeling like sh*t all the time because I ate literal garbage/junk foods religiously and in large quanities. I could drink a 12 pack of soda in a day by myself, and polish off an entire box of honey buns in the same day. It took one picture that was taken almost a year ago now that finally made me realize my unhealthy choices were finally starting to show and I needed to make a change, so I did. For anyone who is in the process of trying to get healthy, my heart goes out to you, because it’s hard freakin’ work and not everyone has nice things to say. I’ve received more back handed compliments in the last few months than I ever did at 200lbs. I’ve had more people ask me about my weight in very personal ways (too personal) than I ever did at 200lbs. Can we just not?
