2023 Book Roundup β¨ ::swipe::β£ β£ I read/listened to 68 books in 2023! You know, I never set a goal for a number of books I want to read - my only goal is to continue to read for enjoyment and also to learn more about world history. β£ β£ If youβve been here for awhile then you know how important I think it is to read up on WWII + the horrific events of the Holocaust. I advocate very loudly on this platform when sharing books about history because I truly think that collectively we all become better people by doing so - more understanding and more open minded. I am a lover of all things art - especially when itβs immersive! I had a few free hours in Miami a few weeks ago so I went to check out @superblue.art and it was a 10/10 experience β¨ To get the full experience of this place, I highly recommend taking your time in each room - linger & really immerse yourself. There is no time limit for your visit and we stayed for about 90 minutes. Swipe thru to the last slide to experience the Massless Clouds exhibit! (this is an add on to the general admission ticket) PS: On the 3rd Thursday of every month, they offer sensory friendly sessions. This program supports & welcomes guests with sensory disorders + sensitivities, disabilities and anyone seeking to experience the center in a quiet, modified environment. #SuperblueMiami
I envy the people who for the last month have continued on with life as if everything is normal. Iβm an empath & world events absolutely affect me. I havenβt posted on my feed in weeks because everything seems so insignificant in the grand scheme of everything going on. A genocide is being live streamed on social media for the world to watch and so many are being complicit. So many are telling you that you have to stand for just one side. That is a lie - you can stand for humanity. Like many other creators - I have obligations that I have to follow through with over the next few weeks. Unlike some though, speaking up for humanity will always be worth losing opportunities.

They were all light reads but really great stories. β£ β£ Top 2 would be Vera Wongβs Unsolicited Advice for Murderers (this has Finlay Donovan vibes + I loved it!) & Donβt Forget to Write (the ending was the ultimate plot twist and hellllo fellow NJ shore lovers as the book is mainly based in this area) β£ β£ What are you reading?
