Starting out my Everglades photos with this fun one after our airboat tour with @evergladesholidaypark . We heard how they rescue 'nuisance' alligators from the Florida area and provide a safe haven and animal rescue facility for them. The world-famous Gator Boys Alligator Rescue team keep some for their gator show. Gator Boys, a team of experienced wranglers working out of their home base in our Everglades Holiday Park, were first featured on Animal Planet in 2012. The Gator Boys advocate for policy reform for safe habitation of alligators. Now, they have found a presence on their YouTube Channel. After the Gator show, we were able to get close and personal with this little guy. Can't talk about our visit to Vieques Puerto Rico without mentioning the beautiful beaches. @discoverpuertorico showed us a good time and took us to Caracas Beach and Sun Bay Beach --I enjoyed the cool breeze, and @maddyymoyerr143 enjoyed the warm sun. I have been to both small islands in Puerto Rico - Vieques and Culebra. They are very different. If you are trying to decide which one to go to, it will depend on what you want to do there and what experience you want to have. When we were in Sigiriya, we went on a Kashyapa Village Tour. It was three parts. We road on an ox cart, the means of transportation used since ancient times in Sri Lanka and many other parts of the world. They are still used today when roads are muddy and impassable to other vehicles. Part 2 was a peaceful boat cruise. Part 3 was making a delicious meal. Coconut is a main ingredient in many foods, and we used quite a lot of it to make our lunch. We were able to participate in the cooking at every step. Bonus part 4 was lunch!! 🗓️ The beginning of this week was National Plan a Vacation Day. Have you planned a vacation for 2024 yet? I was reflecting on 2023 -- It was a year bursting with vacation memories for me-- and wondering what 2024 holds for me. This year we traveled to Miami and the Everglades National Park, went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise to the Bahamas, and spent a long holiday in @discoverpuertorico ! I traveled to two blogging press trips to explore the midwest towns of @abileneks Kansas and @visitshipshewana Indiana. I met my daughter out west when she was a digital nomad and spent time in Las Vegas, the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Kanab Utah @parrylodgekanab and took some amazing photos in Antelope Canyon. At the end of 2023, hubby and I took an amazing southeast Asia 30th-year anniversary trip that covered Sri Lanka, Maldives and Singapore and had extra layover stops in Chicago, Qatar and Tokyo. On each and every one of these trips I was able to do and see some awesome things. There were several BUCKET LIST items checked off like swimming with whale sharks and manta rays! It seems like every trip I check off things from the Bucket List, but every DAY I discover more amazing destinations that I need to add. Yoga on the Rocks is an annual event that takes place in the summer in the Red Rocks Amphitheater, which is located 15 miles west of Denver. If you haven’t visited Red Rocks Amphitheater and Park, it’s definitely something to add to your list of things to do in Denver.
