Charleston will always have a special place in my heart. Timothy and I went there on our honeymoon back in 2016, and we’ve gone back year after year for several anniversaries. We just absolutely love all the history, as well as the yummy food and southern hospitality! This past summer, we had the opportunity to shoot a video for the stunning @hotelbennett in Charleston! Not only was it the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the hospitality and kindness of the staff absolutely blew us away. If you ever find yourself planning a trip to Charleston, make sure to add Hotel Bennett to your list, even if it’s just to get a drink from their rooftop bar! This is truly one of my favorite videos I’ve ever done, I hope you enjoy! Is there a place you’ve been to that has a special place in your heart like Charleston does for me? If you’re considering car camping, I would highly recommend getting a memory foam mattress pad rather than sleeping on a blow up mattress. This is a great option if you’re not planning to pass through any National Forests that day, and just need a place to sleep for a few hours. The National Parks Pass is only $80, and gets you into all the National Parks for free for an entire year! The first time we went on a cross country trip, we didn’t have these ice bags and all of our food got soaked when the ice melted.
When you’re on the road, and you need to order something, you can usually send packages to wherever you’re planning to stay. If we’re boondocking, or don’t have a good address to send our mail to, we usually send it to a relative or friend’s address. We didn’t have the money at the time to buy a fifth wheel or camper and a truck. And we don’t leave the water heater on all the time to save propane usage.
How we created our RV countertops, how we put an actual tile backsplash in the RV kitchen without it falling down or cracking, and how we added on to the counter space and cabinet space! Okay, now let’s get into how we actually went about taking the angle out of our cabinets and added on counter and cabinet space! Since we were using a combination of new and old cabinet doors in our kitchen, we knew we would have to create doors that would somewhat match the old ones. The 80 grit helps to get everything even, the 120 grit helps to remove scratches left by the 80 grit, and the 400 grit finishes it off by making it super smooth.
While we’re talking about going to Lake Moraine early, when you get there, take the short hike up to the overlook very first. Camping in the town of Banff isn’t allowed No overnight camping is allowed inside the town of Banff, so that’s something to consider if you’re planning to camp in an RV or camper. Also, you have to drive straight up a mountain to get to Lake Moraine, so they’ll close the road if its snowed too much, and trust me, you do not want to miss out on Lake Moraine! It’s so easy to stress about getting all the perfect travel photos, but what’s the point of getting photos if you don’t actually enjoy your trip?
