Hazel’s first POW day. ♥️♥️♥️ I put her in a full day ski class for beginners and she rocked it! She had an absolute blast and was a natural. She skipped Level 2 and is now a Level 3 for when we come back with Mike next month. 👀 my stories for videos. ☺️ This is why I do what I do...and I can’t even put into words how grateful I am that I could give myself 2 days off from Coaching to take her to do something so fun and memorable! Teacher Work Days rock.
My friends always laugh at me because I’m known for yelling “I NEED ANSWERS!!” I just can’t deal with mysteries!! Suspenseful movies…. Cliffhangers… true crime stories… anybody with me?! TELL ME NOW. #thanksanxiety I'm not here to do that to you, friends. I’ve been getting lots of questions, so HERE are your answers for anyone else wondering! 💚 How Do You Get Paid To Workout? WAY more easily than some people think!! I set the pace. I look over the programs and nutrition plans and get to test EVERYTHING out. The meal plans.. Workouts.. Performance products.. It’s pretty sweet. 💚 Do you have to be a fitness expert?! Definitely not! (But you will get there!!!) You’ll just want first-hand knowledge of what programs and nutrition plans fit you, so DIVE IN and try all the things. There’s TONS of training available for being a coach, so don’t sweat it. (Or DO sweat it…) You’ll be shown everything you need to know by those who’ve gone before you. 💚 What’s the time commitment? Whatever time you already spend on social media. That’s what it takes to get going! (most of us spend at least 1-2 hours/day on the socials, believe it or not!) Why not turn that into $$ and something fulfilling? If you want $$, help staying fit, AND to help other people, I’m POSITIVE this coaching thing was made for you. Just drop me an emoji and let's chat ❤️✌️❤️
This is my kid giving zero fcks about her mom’s bikini wax appointment. Why? Because I’ve normalized bodies for her. We don’t do body shame in this house. Before we went I talked to her about how I don’t want any of my private hair to show when I’m in a bikini at the hot springs and that was that. Then it turned into a really good conversation about bodily autonomy and inappropriate touching when she asked me if I trusted the person who I would be seeing. Great question, right?! Talk. to. your. kids. about. these. things. And for goodness sakes, teach them the anatomically correct names for their own safety. Deployment life, yo. We moms gotta get shit done no matter what. 🤜🏻
𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐭. Well… that’s what I told myself for pretty much all of my 20s and 𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐦. When spare time DID present itself, nothing changed because I’d never be the college athlete again, so why bother? Honestly, I just told myself whatever it took. They were all excuses for… not taking action. That was the truth, though. My “reasons” helped me sleep at night, but they were LYING. The truth might hurt, but only for a second… 𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐮𝐧. So the truth is worth saying: We ALL make time for what’s TRULY IMPORTANT to us. She changed my life when I discovered her in early 2017--for real! ➡️FAVORITE takeaway for me: The crucial element to truly experiencing love and joy is vulnerability. If we don’t get comfy with it, we’ll miss out on the very best things in life. Part of life is having our asses kicked every once in awhile anyway, right?!!! Might as well get good at it. ➡️FAVORITE quote: “Want to be happy? ...Stop trying to be perfect.” Have you seen this yet??? 👇👇👇

As it turns out, meditation 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 work for me but it took me awhile to figure out that it doesn’t look the same for everyone. (For example, my practice often involves being surrounded by piles of laundry...) I learned that manifesting isn’t about getting something you want but becoming the person you need to be to achieve your dreams. And once I was humble enough to put my ego aside, I realized that we are all fucked up in our own ways. Did you overdo it on Valentine’s Day? Me too. I ate 0 vegetables yesterday and 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐤 (𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐭) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐬. 𝐈’𝐦 𝐬𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰. Today I’m loading up on veggies to help re-energize and nourish my body and I love simple meals like this: Roasted rainbow carrots, crispy brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, smoked and crispy tempeh + avocado. I feel so good when I eat the rainbow! I think owning an air fryer would make my life a lot easier. However, I hate clutter and don’t really love the idea of yet another appliance. So...who has an air fryer? And what non-meat items do you love to make in it?

(You still love your kids when they wear you down, so treat yourself the same way, even when your pants are extra tight) 🙏Find healthy food you ACTUALLY love. If that fit chick on social media lives on cabbage soup and baby food, it doesn’t mean YOU have to. There’s so much joy in experimenting and discovering what YOU love! (Flexibility will mean more LONG-TERM SUCCESS for you!) 🙏This includes exercise! If you HATE running, don’t be miserable just because you think it’s the only thing that works. Find YOUR jam because you’ll be more likely to stick with that. 🙏 Punch that “inner mean girl” right in her lying face. (You know who she is, hiding inside all of us.) Does her opinion matter? No. Don’t take her advice. Prove her wrong and do exactly what she says you can’t do. Is this something you needed to hear today? If YES, and you want a tribe to help you tell that inner mean girl where to shove it, drop an emoji!! Let’s chat it up!
Some days, I’m just done. I’m done with the attitude, the talking back and arguing, and I’m done with always having to be the bad guy since I’m the only one here. I miss my husband and my co-pilot and I get really discouraged when I think we still have six more months of this shit. Most days I feel like I’m doing a pretty good job at this deployment thing and others, I am just done. Pizza and beer for dinner (my comfort food!) early to bed and tomorrow is a new day. We’ve got this.
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘣𝘴. One of my best friends, someone who has known me since I started my fitness journey 7 years ago, once asked me, "What would that woman you once were think of the woman you are now?" Truthfully, she would probably be seething with envy. You see, I used to be so afraid to try new things. I 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 that I was off hiking trails and exploring new places. I 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 I was traveling the world. I 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 I was doing cool things like rock climbing and running marathons. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤. Have you ever held yourself back from taking that first step because you're afraid you're going to fail? Or you're worried about what others will say? We have two choices: to keep sleeping with our dreams or wake up and chase them. You can stay scared, afraid of even trying. Stuck. Unfulfilled. Unhappy. or You can start. Right now. Doubts, insecurities, fear...these things don't have to be paralyzing--they can be your biggest motivators. Don't be afraid of failing, be afraid of being in the exact same spot you are now a year from now...or 5 years from now. I'm talking tons of road trips to see her daughter at college and attending every single one of her son's events during his final year in high school. She's also very involved in her community and church. 𝐓𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐞'𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. She had so many reasons not to start but eventually she got sick of her own excuses. She was tired of feeling tired and knew something had to change if she was going to live a long, healthy life with her kids. Katy started a 100 day boot camp with me toward the end of last summer and she completely crushed it, losing 30 pounds and then some! I have said it before and I'll say it again--it's not about the weight you lose, it's about the life you gain! Katy loves taking long walks with her pups in the morning while she prays the rosary and she was able to rock the slopes in Breckenridge with more ease than ever during her family's annual New Year's trip. She loves the energy she has and is totally loving this journey she's on.
