Just named Upcoming Musician in the Best of Music City Contest that takes place in Nashville's newspaper, the "Tennesseean," Megan played over 360 gigs in and out of Nashville last year. Most of all, she committed to traveling a minimum of once a month, most of which was solo travel. She spends her time on social media sharing her music but also encouraging people to chasing adventures and pursuing happiness within themeselves.
Went to Canada for the first time a couple weeks ago to play a gig! These people found me on Spotify many years ago and have hired me to play several shows for throughout the years! Now they live in Ottawa, so I got to take a fun little work/vacation for a couple days. - The show was so much fun. Flying first class was so much fun (and dangerous bc free drinks and the fact they made sure I had a drink in my hand even before the plane took off while people were still boarding š). The hotel was amazing (an old castle, built by a man who died the week before it openedā¦ cause he was aboard the titanic). Staying on their āGold floorā (got to when itās literally in your name) with all kinds of fun lounges and special services was amazing. Thankful for the extra time so I could go explore a new city I havenāt been to. - - So so thankful for people who take such good care of me and make my job ten times more fun than it already is getting to do what I love every day. Thankful to have a job that allows me to experience things I may not otherwise and people who help make that possible for me. And most of all thankful for the people I get to meet and stay in touch with and create great relationships with from all over the world. š¤
2023 recap timeeeeee Kicked it off by ringing in the new year in ATL! In January I went to the Bahamas and the greatest best friend trip with MORGAN. Then I went to Chicago with Daniel and as always made sure to check another Soho House visit off my list (one of my favorites btw!! Also learned my lesson to check the weather before leaving because it was literally below 0 degrees. In February Daniel and I went to NYC to see Wicked on Broadway, then went to LA for a bit and then spent Valentine's Day in the best room literally right on the ocean. (thankfully we didnāt get kidnapped because we slept with the doors open every night looking straight over the ocean). In March Daniel and I went to Las Vegas where I got 5 million blisters from walking up and down the strip as he showed me all around. And ate an incredible meal from the tasting menu at a new favorite spot, Bazaar Meat. We also spent some time in Miami and I finally got to check out the Miami Soho house (the sunburn was worth it to be sipping champagne overlooking the ocean). April we went to New Orleans and of course ate allll the seafood, as we do best. Got to go see my queen and icon TSWIFT on the Eras Tour with Morgan and Ally. In May I played a week in Vegas, and somehow survived playing two shows a day while horribly dehydrating my body between the heat and ā¦ maybeā¦ a little alcohol. Somehow found time to try the infamous goat cheese balls at a Vanderpump Restaurant. Also played the second annual āGold Partyā in St. Louis, where they always have the best decor. From everyone wearing gold, to all the gold decorations, to all the gold themed drinks. (so excited to be playing again this year and having Jenae along for the fun!!) In June I went to Detroit because apparently maybe Daniel actually does love me and got me floor seats to see Taylor Swift and he actually sat through the whole concert amidst all the crying and screaming people around us - and yes I was one of them. Heās done a lot for me but that was the truest test of our relationship. In July we went down to Atlanta to see Wicked again because we are officially obsessed. Then I took a little road trip with Jenae Cherry to play the Whiskey Watering Hole and some other shows. Had so much fun and some solid girl time. In August I BOUGHT A HOME. Shoutout to everyone who had to listen to me rant about the difficulties of trying to buy while being self employed. Yall are troopers and anyone who had to listen is welcome to come and have a cocktail as payment in return. And then went to NYC with Daniel to see Chicago and Hamilton on Broadway! September we headed out to Austin and had the best food at another one of my favorite soho houses. In October we went to Orlando and spent a day at Universal (forced Daniel to finally watch Harry Potter before of course). We came back to Nashville and saw Wicked for the third time of the year lol. In December I went to Canada for the first time to play a show in Ottawa and stayed an extra day to do some exploring. Then I went back to Atlanta to ring in another year watching Daniel play all the jams leading up to midnight. ļæ½ Another year of getting to do something I love - playing music alongside great friends and making new friends along the way. A year of lots of amazing food at amazing restaurants. I lot of memories with the people I love. A lot of firsts. A lot of visiting new places and places Iāve come to love. Hereās to 2023 being a fun year and Daniel somehow sticking through it with me. And hereās to 2024 being another adventure.
