The bay features the only island in Lake Tahoe, known as Fannette Island, as well as a sandy beach and a Scandinavian style home from the early 1900s. Lake Tahoe has the highest elevation lighthouse in America and there’s a trail that runs all the way from Vikingsholm to it called the Rubicon Point Trail. Sandy Beach is located on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe about 40 minutes from Heavenly Village. I wasn’t able to find boat tours in South Lake Tahoe that were on the Nevada side, but there are many on the California side if you have an opportunity to book one.
I bought high quality, very reasonably priced diamond earrings, my friend and my mom also bought gifts and weren’t even planning on it! I spoke with another group that enjoys diving and they said they did a half-day tour and saw lots of fish, Caribbean Reef sharks, and plenty of coral reefs. The day trips are nice because you can spend the day sailing around St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix, and all the smaller islands and explore all the beaches your heart desires. It’s a pretty good and reasonably priced Mexican spot.
I’ve been to Colorado plenty of times, but I’ve never ventured to the Aspen area, and let me tell you, it was 100% worth it. We chose to wander through Independence Ghost Town, an old mining town, checkout the Grottos for the ice caves and waterfall, and the Weller Lake Trail. It’s a quick 10 minute drive from downtown Aspen and a shuttle takes you up to the main lake. My friend went down the Roaring Fork River in a duckie (inflatable kayak) and I opted to go on a quick hike in Snowmass - Aspen’s neighboring town.
When there are limited activities due to social distancing, bar closures, or generally trying to stay home for personal safety, I picked up an old hobby - reading. I used to spend ALL my time reading to the point that my best friend and I were always competing for who could get more “Reading Minutes” in middle school. The first is a windy and unpredictable thriller that kept me guessing every step of the way. The second is funny and honest about the realities that we face when it comes to dating.
