Having worked in the hospitality industry my entire adult life, I'm very excited for this new chapter in my life. I started Liquid Culture as a way to inspire Home Bartenders because I know we don't always make it seem easy. I primarily work with brands in terms of media production, including photography and content creation. I've run masterclasses around the city, examples including Jack Daniels and Glenfiddich. I'm also a frequent Drink Expert on CTV's The Social gaining nation-wide exposure. I'm looking to pair up with brands to share their stories through my many platforms.
Here with the mandatory wrap up for 2022 ❤️ This year had its many ups, its many challenges and a lot more lessons learned. I wouldn’t change this Liquid Culture chapter for a second. Most of all, it was consumed by her ❤️ So I thank her, for teaching me so much more about myself I never knew. And to the community that keeps me going. Love and blessings to everyone in 2023. I can’t wait to sip with you more ❤️🥃🍸🍹 #liquidculture #drinkresponsibly #newyear2023
The new Canadian Espresso Martini 👀🇨🇦☕️ Couldn’t help but open up this @sortilegewhisky maple cream liqueur. I’ve long loved this brand, and with this week, I’ve needed a few pick me up 👀😴😬 I know your typical Espresso Martini comes with Vodka, but I thought, why not honour our fabulous Canadian Whisky in this mix. Leaving you with the recipe here in case you’re like me and needing a coffee fix ☕️ 🇨🇦☕️ Canadian Espresso Martini 3/4 oz Canadian Whisky (@jpwisers) 3/4 oz Sortilège Maple Cream (@sortilegewhisky) 1 teaspoon Maple *Optional Espresso Shake well, and strain. ENJOY ☕️🥃 #liquidculture #drinkresponsibly #espressomartini
I’m not exaggerating when I say that this hot cocktail was touched by an Angel 😂❤️🥃🎄 Anyone remember the show Touched by an Angel? Just me? That’s cool. But what’s NOT cool is brushing this recipe off to the side 👀🥃🔥 My GOD, this was beautiful in the most surprising way. I can’t say it enough, #NoDrinksWasted is my favourite series period, purely from the inspiration it creates. This Hot Cocktail is a combination of a few entries. So many ppl reached out with orange, a submission that asked to mix with nuts and Tia Maria! I was just gifted a bottle of Tia Maria, so I thought I would come up with something uniquely warm. This gives me a bit of Hot Buttered Rum vibe, but it’s so much more. I share on my stories exclusively today via videos how I put it together. But also keeping the recipe for you here ❤️ Can’t think of a name for this epicness 3/4 cup Lightly Aged Jamaican Rum (@kingston62ja) 1/4 cup Tia Maria @tiamariadrink 1 cup Boiled Water 1 cinnamon stick 1/8 cup slivered almonds 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter 2 Star Anise 5 Cardamom Pods 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Half Orange Rind In small saucepan, melt butter and add in your almonds. Toss. Add in star anise, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, orange rinds and black pepper, until fragrant. Don’t let almonds get too burnt! Remove from stove. Add in your Rum, water and Tia Maria. Cover and let it steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain through coffee filter. Enjoy this heavenly masterpiece.
When the bottle is as stunning as your cocktail 🔥🎄🍐 You may have caught the new @lanewaydistillers Gin I feature on The Social a couple weeks ago, but it’s this. This STUNNING no. 33 Gin that sold it to me from this brand. It’s just a beautiful Gin, through and through. There’s obviously the bright juniper that comes through, but it’s layered in with warming spices that I was so surprised about. It’s also a Gin that they encourage for sipping! 🥃😍 But I wanted to create something special here, with a splash of single malt, pear and citrus. It doesn’t need much, since it’s already wonderful on its own. But will I object to this cocktail? Absolutely not! Sharing the recipe for you here ❤️🎄 1.5 oz Laneway 33 Gin 0.5 oz Single Malt Whisky 1 oz Pear nectar 0.5 oz Lemon Juice 0.75 oz Simple Syrup (1:1) Shake and Double Strain. #liquidculture #drinkresponsibly #canadiangin
We don’t serve no basic Alcohol-Free Punch hereeeeeee 👀🔥🎄 So I always try to make sure I have some Alcohol-Free solutions for the holidays and MAN, I could drink this ALLLLLLL DAYYY 🔥🔥 I bought some of @taylors Christmas Spiced Tea, because if you’ve ever had their Chai, you know 👀🔥. Not wanting to let any of it go to waste, I decided to let it be the star of this punch. Mixed with Orange, Lemon, Rosemary and a Tonic Water, this has been pure magic in the house tonight. For all recipe details, check out the Liquid Culture website. Thissss is one not to be missed 😍🔥👀❤️🎄 oh and do I have alcohol suggestions as well? Why yes mame, I do! #liquidculture #alcoholfreepunch #holidaypunch
Oh my…OH MY! Why we’ve only just met 👀🥃🎄🔥😍 This was my literal reaction to when I put together todays #NoDrinksWasted cocktail 😂 It was surprising. Full of complexity. And I wanted MORE! For my #NoDrinksWasted creation, I ended up using two ingredients from separate entries; Mezcal and Eggnog! I thought, why not bring the holidays to the tropics with this cocktail, and seriously…this is a BEAUTY. And what I think surprises me most, it’s with fairly accessible ingredients! I’m leaving you with this weeks results here on the gram, because I love you all. Tropical Holiday Paradise 🎄🥃 1.5 oz Mezcal (@sietemisterios) 0.5 oz Overproof Rum (@wrayandnephewcanada) 1.5 oz Eggnog 0.5 oz Lemon Juice 0.5 oz Dry Curaçao 0.25 oz Simple Syrup (optional - rounds out all the flavours) 2 sprigs Rosemary Lightly torch one Rosemary sprig and toss into shaker. Add the rest of your ingredients and ice. Shake well. Double strain over fresh ice in Collins ❤️🥃🎄🔥‼️👌😈 #liquidculture #drinkresponsibly
It’s beginning to look a lot like Holiday shoppinngggg 🎄💸🥃 Hi Friends! Man, I was not sure if I was going to be able to put together the 2022 Liquid Culture Holiday Gift Guide together, BUT ALAS, because I have no chill, I did it lol. But I’m doing things a bit different this year. I’m sharing all the bottles here on IG stories throughout the day, AND you will be able to find it ALL in my IG highlights after the 24 hrs ❤️ I know it can be intimidating walking through the liquor aisles, figuring out what to buy. But I do my very best to offer you options, for every occasion and price range!! Most importantly for me (and I hope for you), I leave this content completely UNSPONSORED. Putting this together is not easy, but I believe it’s TRULY valuable and being a part of the Liquid Culture familia, I wanted to share this with you all ❤️ Lots of IG stories heading your way today. So keep an eye out! Note: all bottles mentioned were ones that can be sourced from the LCBO, Ontario or they offer shipping across Canada. There’s a lot of products I have yet to try, but I think I got a pretty good handle here ❤️ Love you all and Happy Holidays 🎄🥃 #liquidculture #drinkresponsibly #holidaygiftguide
And this gem finally drops ❤️ This was one of those projects that we just wanted to experiment. Learn from the process. Manifest where we want to be and why we deserve to be there. So I shared the series I have loved so much during my time with Liquid Culture. A space where you can drop a line and I shake up a cocktail with said ingredient. Whatever it was, a bottle collecting dust, produce about to expire, why not shake it in a cocktail and use up what you have! The full video is on YouTube which I’ll be setting up a link for all of you on my bio. Until then, share, subscribe, and do the damn thing so we can continue to create magic like this ❤️ Wouldn’t have made this happen without these folks: @iamjasondam @justinmanabat @luisbriiceno @jordan.westcott @zacharyjguy @drivenby.di @rily.kitchen
With Spring officially here in Toronto, you can expect to see a ton of Gin cocktail recipes shared on the Liquid Culture platforms. With Royalmount Gin infused with Rose and Cucumber, I highlight this in the Royal Spring Flush Cocktail. Having the essence of a Gin and Tonic, I dress it up with additional Rose Water, Rose pedal Ice Cubes (optional) plus White Cranberry Juice! This is a VERY easy cocktail to throw together, and expect many more Royalmount Gin cocktail creations soon!
For today, I tried to create something that didn’t use just a “dash” of Licor 43, so I made this Coconut Mint Iced Boozy Cocktail that is hard not to love. Since I still had my bottle of Real’s Cream of Coconut around, I thought it would compliment the flavours going on in this Coconut Mint Boozy Iced Coffee. Choosing your Base Spirit for this Coconut Mint Boozy Iced Coffee I played around with this component for a bit. Since this cocktail has such strong flavours going on, you don’t want a spirit that will hide in this Coconut Mint Boozy Iced Coffee.
I mix with the phenomenal taste of Fentimans Valencian Orange Tonic Water to combine Sparkling Wine and Light Aperitivo. I can’t stress this enough, this Valencian Orange Spritz is a dream, and if you love the herbaceous notes of Tonic water, you will LOVE THIS COCKTAIL. Working with Fentimans Valencian Orange Tonic Water in this Orange Spritz But with Spring, all I care about are Spritz, so making a herbaceous, bright Orange Spritz was calling my name!
And with the help of Fentimans Rose Lemonade, it’s pretty easy to dress up a drink for Spring. With its delicate flavours, I decided to combine some of my favourite tropical flavours including Guava and 100% Coconut Water to make this refreshing imbibe. I’m quite picky when it comes to Coconut Water, and if it isn’t 100% the real deal, I don’t want it. Since Coconut Water can easily become drowned out, I use a large ratio of it in this Spirit Free beverage.
