I'm a full-time photographer and content creator splitting my time between NC and TX. I've had a blog since 2009 and have cultivated an engaged following, some of whom have been following me since I was in high school. (I'm in my mid-30s now!) I've worked with brands like Red Bull, Yasso, Cuisinart, Suntory, City of Durham, and Marriot. I've been featured in the Austin Statesmen and Raleigh's News Observer, as well as Culturemap and WRAL.

I'm passionate about photography and story-telling and can't wait to connect with brands for creative collaborations!

An amazing new paleteria just opened in Smoky Hollow in Raleigh! At @paletasmorelia, you get to choose from a delectable selection of over 16 flavors of paletas made with natural ingredients, and you can either eat them as is, or get creative with dips, drizzles, and toppings! I’ve had so many paletas in my day but I’ve never had one wrapped in a fresh warm waffle before. What a fun treat! You might have seen it in my stories a few days ago but I really loved my lime sorbet paleta, drizzled in condense milk, and sprinkled with spicy sugar. Next time, I want to get a pistachio paleta dipped in dark chocolate and topped with pistachios. For my gluten free friends, almost the entire paleta menu is gluten-free with the exception of OREO Cookies and Cream, REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup and Strawberry Cheesecake Paletas. So friend, which paleta flavor is calling to you? #lindaeatsnc # 919eats #ncfood #ncblogger #raleighfoodpics #raleighfoodies

It’s grand opening weekend for @theyardmilkshakebar in Raleigh, owned by local foodies and cuties @raleighfoodtrap ! I got to start my day off with a fun tasting at The Yard yesterday (if you hurry you can peep the IG stories for my first impression. I highly recommend this spot for kids of ✨ all ages✨! Featured in the video: the Cereal Killer, the Mermaid, and the Unicorn 🦄 . So friend, what’s your favorite milkshake topping? I bet you The Yard would have it! I feel an instant connection running into Texans in NC and it’s especially true for barbecue smokehouses in NC. @theoriginalqshackdurham was founded by a Texan and you can tell by their brisket 🥰. They’ve been smoking meats for 21 years! Apparently, I need to go back for their chicken wings 👀. #919eats #lindaeatsnc #durm #durhamnc #ncblogger #ncfoodie

When I was invited to visit @jayskitchen.nc in Goldsboro, I almost declined. I drive a lot for a good meal but I still suffer from driving fatigue!  But Sugarface and I looked at their menu and our appetite peaked so we made it a rainy weekend day date. Driving 90 minutes with your boo is kind of fun, and then, boy, were we rewarded!
Every dish we tried was delicious. It’s the kind of meal where your least favorite dish would have high marks on its own but it’s being compared to the rest of the meal. We let our server be our captain and some of my favorite dishes included:
🍗 Jay’s Signature Hot Wings (please order these if you love wings!)  🍟 Bulgogi fries  🇰🇷Bulgogi Wrap 🍱 Sushi rolls (I wish I wrote down which one we tried but they were all so tasty)  🍜 Japchae: I wouldn’t have ordered japchae but so glad they sent this out because Sugarface and I both wondered if these were the best japchae we’ve had. The flavor was so unexpectedly bold!
Towards the end of our meal, we got to meet Jay the owner. He lit up as he pointed to parts of the interior of his restaurant and how he handpicked some of the raw materials from Korea himself. His energy was so infectious and I love hearing about how his first restaurant (Jay’s Kitchen) to a mini-restaurant empire.
Jay also said we were remiss not to order his burgers 🍔 . Apparently, they’re some of his best sellers. Sugarface and I already talked about making Jay’s Kitchen a pit stop next time we head to the beach. I guess we’ll try the burgers then! (With more chicken wings.)
So, friend, I’m curious. What’s the longest you’ve driven for just a meal?  Tell me in the comments! Don’t forget to save this post for your next trip to Goldsboro or a pitstop on your beach trip and follow @lindaeatsworld for more tasty gems that are worth the drive #lindaeatsnc #northcarolina #ncfood #goldsboro #ncblogger #travelblogger

I'm Tired of Being Afraid #StopAsianHate

As someone who does countless long drives since college, I’ve always been a little nervous before each long drive. I was afraid to be an Asian female on my own while Anti-Asian hate crimes are on the rise. I felt my body tense every time I saw a confederate flag (three times) or a Trump sign (I lost count). This spike in hate crimes targeting Asian Americans has been on the rise since the beginning of the pandemic.
