Have you ever been inside a volcano? Our daylong tour with the team from our resort @cbay_stlucia took us into the crater of Soufrière Volcano which literally means sulfur volcano. It doesn’t spew lava. It emits hot sulfur water with a byproduct of mud. All is very healing. The minerals in both the black pools and the mud help with arthritis and all skin conditions. Plus, it felt so great! A natural hot tub. What are your thoughts on mud? Yucky or yummy? ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ #stlucia #coconutbaystlucia #soufriere #soufrierehillsvolcano #volcano #volcanomudbath #mudlife #girltravel #momlife #momtrip

Why are waterfalls so magical? It’s just a river or creek running out of land. But the cascade becomes so much more from the fantastical properties we assign it. It’s us. We are the magic and create the magic. Go and create more magic today! Today is a great day for magic! What will you do? 📸: @texasirishterri of the Toraille Waterfall in St. Lucia on a tour with our resort @cbay_stlucia ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ #familytravel #familyadventures #travelwithkids #familyadventuretime #familytrips #stlucia #torraillewaterfall #souffriere #waterfalls #travel

Typically I’m not much into resort shows. They usually rope the employees who’ve already been working all day to rehearse and put on a show that is like….a resort show. But the entertainment at Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa in St. Lucia are local artists and the difference is stunning. These professionals do things they’ve trained for years to master. The Saturday night carnival show transported us to a real carnival and it felt wild and brilliant. Everyone was on their feet at the end. How about you? Yes to resort shows or not so much? ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ @cbay_stlucia #coconutbaybeachresort #coconutbaybeachresort #coconutbaybeachresortandspa #resort #resortshow #dinnershow #familytrips #familytravel #familyadventuretime #familyadventures #stluciacarnival #stlucia

I have a confession. I’ve avoided activities in the past that threatened to get my hair wet. Once in mammoth I chose not to do a rope swing into the lake because I had just gotten a blow out the day before. I don’t do that anymore. Our time is short in this world and I’m going to take every chance to be a kid. Have you ever avoided doing something fun so you wouldn’t get your hair wet? ☀️☀️😘☀️☀️ @cbay_stlucia #coconutbaystlucia #coconutbayresortandspa #coconutbay #waterslide #waterslidefun #resortfun #travelwithkids #familyadventures #familytravel #familytrips #waterfun #stlucia #luxurytravel

Trying all the things. And getting to know myself better. What’s your preference? Lounger or hammock? ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ @cbay_stlucia #coconutbaystlucia #coconutbayresort #stlucia #multigenerational #caribbeanisland #caribbeanresort #familytrips #familytravel

One of the most annoying things about travel is how long it takes to come home after an international trip. We were shocked when we realized we’d come home from Finland and pulled into our driveway in about an hour. From landing to driveway. It all starts with the place you choose to park your car. Read our tips on how to make that happen. Link in BIO. @theparkingspotofficial #ad #theparkingspot #airportparking #traveltipsandtricks #familytravelblog #familytrips #familytravel

We have BIG news! Our oldest son asked his girlfriend to marry him on Sunday!!! He put together a very elaborate and romantic proposal straight out of the movies. Her friends and family surprised her after his proposal and we all celebrated their love overlooking a beautiful beach in Kauai (where they live). We are so happy for them and can’t wait to be part of this next chapter of their lives. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ #kauai #kauailove #proposal #romanticvacation #familytravel

California got its name from Queen Calafia, a tale of a black warrior queen who ruled the island of California that was filled with gold. She was a character in “Las Sergas de Esplandián,” the fifth book in a series of romantic adventures written in 1510 by Spanish author Garci Rodríguez de Montalvo. In the story, the island was inhabited only by Black women who lived like amazon warriors. Queen Calafia wore armor made of fish bones, used weapons made of gold and commanded an army of griffins. Spanish men loved the series of books and especially this one about the queen. Explorers like Herman Cortes set out in search of the mythical island and when conquistadors reached the tip of the Baja Peninsula, they thought they’d found the fabled island of California, and that’s what they called it. Visitors can see this big bold mural that pays tribute to the queen next to Mexico’s first established mission, Our Lady of Loreto. It hangs in the Museum of the Baja California Missions in the main square of Loreto. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ @visitloretobcs #loreto #loretobcs @uncruise #uncruise #uncruiseadventures #familytravel #cruising #adventuretravel #expeditioncruise #seaofcortez #bajacaliforniasur  #hosted  #familyadventuretravel #adventuretravel #momofboys #familytravel #familytrip

Best Things To Do In Kennywood for Families!

The Steel Curtain roller coaster is located in Steelers Country in Kennywood, the first ever theme park area and coaster to be named after a professional sports franchise, specifically the Pittsburgh Steelers. There’s another area called Kiddieland, which is devoted to classic attractions for little ones like a merry-go-round. Founded in 1898, the Monongahela Street Railway Company leased a popular picnic site, Kenny’s Grove, from Charles Kenny in order to open a trolley park to encourage people to use the company’s trolley cars. If you’d like to stay closer to downtown Pittsburgh, the Fairmount is arguably the nicest hotel in Pittsburgh, that’s actually where celebrities usually stay when they are in town filming movies!

Can’t Miss Things to Do in Atlanta With Kids

I spent so much of my childhood going to Braves baseball games in Atlanta that I was sure that’s what the national anthem meant (“and the home of the … Braves?”). Families also can tour Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church where King was co-pastor, an antique fire station that once served the area, and the visitors center that features an exhibit especially for children. Mountains Hotels near Centennial Olympic Park, like Hyatt Place or Embassy Suites, are close to the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola R. Thomas’s gourmet dishes are vegetarian-friendly, and their kids’ menu is popular for offering childhood staples like peanut

Glen Ivy Hot Springs: A Perfect L.A. Girl's Day Trip

Glen Ivy Hot Springs is the ideal Los Angeles day trip or weekend getaway oasis with pools made of dreams, delicious California-grown food, mud baths, a grotto, mineral baths, and massages. Typically Glen Ivy Hot Springs offers some evening events that are great to enjoy with a glass of wine or two, but they have stopped the evening activities for now because of COVID. If you want to make a weekend out of your trip to Glen Ivy Hot Springs, then I would take a day to visit some of the local wineries because California wine is amazing and even better when you get to experience it where it is grown. The closest place to stay is Staybridge Suites if you would like to make a weekend out of your trip, but you can also make Glen Ivy Hot Springs a day trip!

Borrego Springs Brings Off the Beaten Path Family Fun

We chose Borrego Springs, and more specifically, the quirky old-western-town-themed Palm Canyon Hotel & RV Resort, as a one-night stopover to break up our road trip. desert landscape of Anza-Borrego State Park, where ATV enthusiasts have that magical way of making perfect circles with their tricked-out RVs in the middle of nowhere. Then, as you travel along Route 22, a small collection of quaint inns ultimately bring you to Palm Canyon, the heart of the hiking scene in Anza-Borrego State Park. And how it was a good thing we got back from our hike before dark — because we may have found ourselves off the path a time or two — and the wilds of the desert certainly seemed to come alive at night.
