It took about 3 hours to get there. 2. You have to take a special truck to get up the hill so you will have to leave your transportation and have a group of 2 to 3 men take you in a special truck to the top. 3. It is a winding road and bumpy road to get to the top, so if that makes you sick, don't do it 4. The views are beautiful 5. There are swings. 6. I can't swim and while in Bali, I fell into a waterfall 😱 and fell into another pool by accident that was too deep, so please take my advice. 1. Ask a staff member the total depth of the pool before going into the pool and ask if there are different depts in different areas or just one depth level. 2. Many of the pools are not marked with pool depth. 3. Some pools are as deep as 10 feet which might not be the norm in your country. 4. It was not loud. I like quiet spaces. I could work there as well as I felt comfortable being solo in a swimsuit with people eating. 2. The Food was amazing with big portions and affordable. 3. I felt safe. 4. Beautiful views and lots of searing areas of lounging areas like hanging nets, couches in the water, and more. Would you go here? Storytime: I am in a profession that is part of me but doesn't embody all of who I am and 2020 is the year for transformation, financial security, and investing in yourself. It is scary moving away from security and all that you know to embark on the unknown. Every risk you take will lead to a reward regardless if it is a success or lesson. I also decided to start flying drones @djimavicmini to keep my mind calm in this pandemic because mental health is something that I work at consistently and now I'm studying for my commercial drone license. I have one ultimate passion that one day I will share with the world but it's an investment that is worth the risk because I'm investing in me. BTS: I was suppose to record on a small beach in Sleepy Hollow but it was filled, so I decided to see if they were allowing entry to the Lighthouse because it was closed 3 weeks prior. I was in luck and it was open. POV: I was wearing a swimsuit under a maxi dress, so how was I going to get worthy aerial photography/Videography without a beach/sand in a swimsuit? I dont like laying on concrete but a woman got to do what she got to do. I made it a concrete beach. I put my maxi dress underneath me as a pillow so that I was not completely on the ground and I had to time the shot so that people were not around me (people would walk across me to walk into the lighthouse, so I'd stop filming). I also didn't want to hit my drone into the lighthouse as I laid down with it flying, as well as not fly too high because I did notice airplanes flying by a few times and I noticed at least 4 kayaks in the water. I had to stop many times to make sure there was only me in the video and I was being careful that no one was around and the air was clear of planes. Did I mention it was about 90 degrees outside and sweat kept falling in my eyes? Lol. Listen, people glamorize shots/videos on instagram but there is a lot that goes behind getting the perfect pic/video, so I respect people's hustle. Flying a drone is a skill but I wouldn't have it any other way. I truly do love flying my drone. It takes me places I've never been before and I would do this shot all over again. . . . . . . .
