I started HuntingLife.com in 2006 to create a resource to share our passion for the outdoors, hunting and conservation. HuntingLife has grown exponentially over the last 13 years by focusing on our readers, fans and followers above our own interests. HuntingLife.com focuses on outdoor gear reviews, conservation stories, industry articles and sharing our tips and tactics to make your time in the outdoors more enjoyable and we are always happy to share our readers stories and success in our social channels. We travel regularly to industry shows to network with industry leaders and companies to gather the best news for our readers and across North America in pursuit of our adventures. We live and breathe the outdoors in everything we do and we are passionate advocates for conservation and our great public lands, forests and national parks.

Illinois continues to rank #2 for Boone and Crockett Club trophy whitetail with 1,445 total entries in the recently released sixth edition of the Club’s “Records of North American Whitetail Deer. This list was compiled from Boone and Crockett big game records—trophy data going back to 1830 and long used by conservationists to gauge outstanding habitat, strong recruitment of game animals into older age classes, sustainable harvest objectives, and other elements of sound wildlife management and fair-chase hunting,” commented the Club’s Director of Publications Julie Tripp. Four counties in the state rank among the best in the country for producing big bucks, including: Pike County that ranks #10 with 57 entries, Fulton and Adams Counties that are tied for #11 with 55 total entries, and Jo Daviess County that ranks #17 with 49 entries. Noteworthy new entries since the last edition was printed in 2012 feature five new typical bucks including William L. Loyd’s 2018 buck from Lee County, Arkansas, that scored 200-1/8 points and ranks #17 All-time and #1 in the state, pending review by the Judges Panel for the 31st Big Game Awards in 2022, as well as three other bucks that were showcased during the 30th Big Game Awards in 2019.

Hi All! This week the Wyoming Women’s Foundation, host of the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt is taking over!! We are excited to share our experience with you this week! Thanks to @huntinglife for giving us this opportunity! The Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt was founded in 2013 by the Wyoming Women’s Foundation as a opportunity for mentoring and developing camaraderie between women. Hunting is a long-standing Wyoming tradition and a skill that honors our state’s cultural roots. Teaching women to hunt can help them feed their families nutritious food and fulfills WYWF’s mission of investing in economic self-sufficiency of women. The event develops new hunters by offering scholarships and hunter education to women who otherwise may not get the opportunity to hunt and pairs them with conservation-minded guides and experienced women hunting partners for maximum learning opportunities. #wyowomenshunt
