It was enjoyed by the first Americans, and in this episode, we’re exploring oyster culture in South Carolina’s low country, as part of one of the most unique cultures of the area: the Gullah Geechee. The eclipse partying starts this weekend! There will be plenty of fun in Northeast Ohio during the total solar eclipse on April 8. I’ll be covering the eclipse on Monday live with the experts of science themselves at the Science Center, as I’m covering the event for @greatlakesnoworg/@detroitpublictv! All weekend long, Total Eclipse Fest 2024 is a free outdoor festival open to the public April 6-8, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with eclipse safety glasses will be distributed at all festival entrances. Spanning over three days, there will be outdoor family fun, including interactive activities and demonstrations, local food, vendors and other entertainment.
