You ever eat at a place that just make your jaw drop? It doesn't happen often but @sonandgarden did that for us and our nephew Max. Their food looks and tastes amazing, the staff is friendly and they even have a backdrop inside for your social media pictures! Had an exhausting hike on mission peak this weekend, and had a much needed lunch afterward. Decided to go with a variety of dishes to satisfy our hunger. The crowd favorite salmon pizza with capers was amazing. My nephew couldn't stop raving about the fluffy delicious banana French toast. Seared Ahi was made to perfection. Valley Fair Mall has added a plethora of new stores, food vendors and restaurants. Came out to try one of them and I'm glad I did. The Miso Yaki Chilean sea bass was soft, flaky and had a mild but amazing flavor to it. The Nawlins BBQ shrimp was addicting!! Had to order more garlic bread to dip that sauce. Went on a nice walk up in Muir Woods National Monument and found this gem nearby. Right along the pier with a gorgeous view, outdoor seating and delicious food. One of my favorite bakeries when I'm in the Inner Sunset area. Their pineapple buns are well known with amazing flavors such as custard, red bean, mango, matcha, etc. The buns are so soft, fluffy and flaky. Well known for their pineapple buns but have an extensive menu outside of that. One of my other favorites is the pork floss roll, with a mix of sweet and savory. Took advantage of the Monday off to get out of the house and explore SF. Headed over to @sparksocialsf since I never got a chance to experience it before COVID. First spot I tried was the jackpot!! Ordered the Kraken which is a monster fried lemon pepper and garlic soft shell crab with pickles ginger, sriracha sauce, avocado, roasted seaweed and applewood bacon. The side wasn't really a side, another monstrosity called the Ultimate Fries which consists a mix of waffle and regular fries, Asian pulled pork, shredded cheese, Asian slaw, jalapeños, tapatillo sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, dinosaur chicken nuggets topped with an egg.
