Highlights

We’ve always been fans of a younger Islay whisky, what you perhaps lose in refinement you gain in character! Often a bit more rough around the edges but enticing, and thoroughly enjoyable, especially when siping by the fire 👌

Still reminiscing about this special evening on the beaches of Arran enjoying some delicious drams of @laggwhisky with @heather.whisky. Consider this your sign to go visit the Isle of Arran it is a must see for whisky fans and non whisky fans alike!

The Glenlivit looking right at home at one of our favorite spots to stop to take in the view!

The Yamazaki Distillery is Japan’s first and oldest malt whisky distillery, established in 1923 by Suntory’s founder Shinjiro Torii. Their classic 12 year old is fruity and delicious, with inviting notes of citrus, apple, spice, white flower, and strawberry, it’s a perfect whisky to reach for as the weather finally begins to warm up!

We’ve always said that creative work can happen anywhere. From rugged costal seascapes, iconic Rocky Mountains, inside gorgeous bars, or even in the heart of the city on a sloppy spring day. It’s always fun to stretch the creative muscles in less than ideal conditions, having a bit of whisky to enjoy afterwards no matter how it goes always helps too! 🥃📸

A little preview of the incredible, people, places and bottles we’ve been so fortunate to work alongside with this past week. A bottle like no other with 52 year old @bowmore inside… it’s easy to get distracted with the beauty of the bottle itself but there is some very old bowmore in there. Excited to share more of our work with @rundle_bar and @bowmore!

Can’t wait for more days just like this! 🥃🏔️🥾

Annnd once again another massive dump of snow has hit our city, Spring to be continued! We’ve been continuing to love the recent release from @raasaydistillery, so we’ll keep our minds on our whisky, and off of the weather ❄️🧊

The Tekarra is named after Mount Tekarra in Jasper National Park. Bottled at 48%, this Canadian whisky sure stands out on the shelf! The Tekarra combines malted barley and demerara to create something truly unique! We always love to see the Canadian whisky space continue to push the boundaries and creativity in this category! 🇨🇦🥃

Braving the chilly week ahead with one of Speyside’s newest Peated Single Malt, The Sherry One 💥

Celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day with a bit of Bushmills, what are you going to be sipping today? ☘️🇮🇪🥃

Because it’s tough to beat sharing a special dram with friends. Happy Saturday all 🥃👌

It was a bit tricky to get our hands on the 2023 Michters 10yr release, but boy are we glad that we did! Sipped this one this week after grabbing some photos of it and it’s everything we hoped it would be. It’s thick and jammy, with hints of cream brûlée and honey, with a finish that lasts. Delightful stuff, worthy of two posts in one week 🤤🥃

Founded in 1858 by grain merchant Hiram Walker, Canadian Club is a brand rich with history both here in Canada and around the world. One fun fact is that during prohibition, CC became the number one most bootlegged whisky in the USA, with big names like Al Capone making the trip to Canada to smuggle barrels back to the USA!

We’ve made it halfway through the week, that calls for a treat if you ask us! The Ardbeg Traigh Bhan will do quite nicely thank you! We’ve loved every batch of this series, equal parts delicious and beautiful, worth picking up if you’re an Ardbeg lover and you’re looking for a special treat👌
