An early morning walk around the streets of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I have always loved Melbourne, it is the cultural capital of Australia with each suburb exuding its own unique vibe. Here we visited the iconic Flinders Street Station and the street art of Hosier Lane. There is so much to experience in Melbourne, we were only visiting for a short time and tried to pack as much in as we could. Do you love Melbourne? :) #visitmelbourne #melbourne #melbournestreetart #visitaustralia #visitvictoria #frequenttraveller #frequenttravellers #roadtrip #roadtripaustralia

When taking a trip along the Great Ocean Road you pass through many coastal towns and communities. These places each have there own unique vibe and range from glitzy upmarket Lorne to quiet villages such as Fairhaven. Apollo Bay, Victoria is a pretty seaside holiday town with sweeping beaches with lots of restaurants and a friendly local atmosphere. When visiting Apollo Bay make sure to stop off for lunch at the Apollo Bay Bakery for a Scallop Pie which is a much sort after local delicacy. The Scallop Pie is chock full of juicy scallops in a light curry sauce and is absolutely delicious. :) #visitmelbourne #melbourne #greatoceanroad #frequenttraveller #apollobay #visitaustralia #greatoceanroadtrip The

On our Great Ocean Road Trip Melbourne day tour we stopped off at the small community of Kennett River to do the Kennet River Koala Walk. This is the perfect opportunity to see koalas in the wild and we were excited to see two during our short visit. This one looked so cute having a good scratch. :) While there we also saw a wallaby which was especially thrilling for the international visitors on our tour. Such a wonderful sight to see... :) #visitmelbourne #melbourne #frequenttraveller #visitvictoria #greatoceanroad #greatoceanroadtrip #kennettriverkoalawalk #koala #koalabears #australianwildlife
On our Great Ocean Road day trip from Melbourne we had the opportunity to explore the Maits Rest Rainforest Walk in the Great Otway National Park. As we walked along the trail we marvelled at the giant Myrtle Beech trees and learnt about the unique quirks of this ancient rainforest. A truly fascinating place to visit on the ever changing landscapes of the Great Ocean Road. :) #frequenttravellers #greatoceanroad #greatoceanroadtrip #visitmelbourne #frequenttraveller #roadtripaustralia #visitaustralia #visitvictoria #visitvictoriaaustralia #maitsrest #greatotwaynationalpark
Loch Ard Gorge is a short drive from the Twelve Apostles on the Great Ocean Road and is named after a tragic shipwreck. In 1878 the Loch Ard was sailing from Gravesend in England to Melbourne in Australia with 54 people onboard. Hampered by foggy weather the ship sank with only 2 survivors. Tom and Eva made it to the beach and took shelter in a cave. The next day Tom climbed the cliffs and walked through dense scrubland for help and fortunately they were both rescued. Today Loch Ard Gorge is a scene of incredible beauty and a place to remember the tragedy that happened so long ago. #frequenttravellers #greatoceanroad #frequenttraveller #visitaustralia #visitvictoria #greatoceanroadtrip #roadtripaustralia
The Great Ocean Road is the third most visited Australian attraction after Sydney Harbour and the Great Barrier Reef. This Great Ocean Road was built between 1919 and 1932 by the returned servicemen (Diggers) of the First World War. This impressive 241 kilometre road was carved out along a rugged coastline with pick and shovel, a remarkable engineering feat. The road is renowned for its beauty and is dedicated to the Victorian's who served in the First World War 1914- 1918. During our visit to Melbourne we decided to take a Great Ocean Road Trip Melbourne day tour. The day started off overcast but that didn't take away from the beauty of the coast. This was just the beginning of an incredible journey we will show you more of the Great Ocean Road tomorrow. :) Have you visited the Great Ocean Road? :) #greatoceanroad #VisitVictoria #visitaustralia #greatoceanroadtrip #frequenttraveller #frequenttravellers
The Twelve Apostles is the highlight of a Great Ocean Road journey and the third most visited attraction in Australia. My first glance of the Twelve Apostles was a holy moly moment as I was struck by their breathtaking beauty and grandeur. Thankfully our gloomy overcast day turned to one of glorious sunshine and we were able to see them at their very best. :) This is just one attraction on our Great Ocean Road day tour, there was so much more to see and I will share more tomorrow. Have you seen the Twelve Apostles? :) #greatoceanroad #frequenttravellers #frequenttraveller #visitaustralia #VisitVictoria #greatoceanroadtrip
