Repeat after me: DIETS DON’T WORK! Great! There I said it! I feel better now! Rip up that list of foods that you aren’t allowed to have anymore because with a lifestyle change, you can eat everything you want. Yes, I said that! It’s all about eating 80% of your meals healthy (fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, seeds) and 20% of your indulgence. If you tell yourself you can’t eat something anymore, lets take cake for example. You are going to think about it all the time, and imagine the taste and really, really want it. You may not eat it for a couple of days or weeks but then, once you give in, you tend to over eat it. The 80/20 rule allows all foods! Tell me below if you follow the 80/20 rule. Love this!  We take care of our car right? We put good gas in it, take it for oil changes, clean it. Am I right? Would you put dirt in your car to run?? NO WAY! That car wouldn’t get you out of the driveway! Same things with our body! We want to put nourishing foods in  to make it run the best it can! If I am what I eat, I would be a watermelon! ( They have been so delicious!) If you can be a food, what would it be? Check out my bio and sign up for your healthy plant based shopping list #flavorfullifestyle

This summer is not like any other summer. We are usually vacationing at my parents in NY and able to go cherry picking with them. Cherries are full of antioxidants and provide around 85 calories  in 20 cherries. 🍒 They are also full of phytosterols which are plant sterols that help lower “bad” cholesterol. They may improve sleep quality.   I love eating cherries just the way they are but they can be added to yogurt, muffins, oatmeal, smoothies and ice creams. Whats your favorite way to eat cherries? #flavorfullifestyle

Being new to a plant based diet can be overwhelming to some especially if you are used to eating meat at every meal. That’s how some of us were brought up and there’s nothing wrong with that. Here are a few of my favorite ‘NON MEAT” protein sources: Pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds can be added to salads. Add Hemp seeds to avocados Chia seeds can be made into puddings or added to a smoothie Sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds I use in trail mix. What’s your favorite way to use these seeds? Hope everyone has a great weekend! #flavorfullifestyle

Summer is here and we love entertaining. This year will definitely be different. #sponsored Instead of the typical chips and dip, we will be making deviled eggs topped with Fresh Cravings Salsa. This family owned salsa company is made with only fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes and crisp, hand-picked vegetables, and is never cooked or pasteurized. Fresh Cravings plant-based dips are nut-based and made with superfoods like coconut aminos, hemp, chia and rich spices to create unmatched flavor. We love the Kickin’ Cashew Queso! You can find Fresh Cravings Salsa and Dips in the produce section of @Publix and @walmart #FreshCravingsFiesta How do you like to use salsa?

When I say calcium what do you think of? Right, most people think milk/dairy (great marketing) Calcium is found in other foods besides milk. Since our bodies don’t make calcium, we need to get it through foods or supplements. We need calcium to build and maintain strong bones. Your heart, muscles and nerves also need calcium to function properly. Recommended amount is 1,000mg a day for 19-51 year old men and women and 1200mg for women over 51. Which calcium rich food will you try? Check out my bio and sign up for your healthy plant based shopping list! 🙌

Hey 👋🏻 Welcome to FlavorfulLifestyle! So glad you found this page. My name is Stacy. Originally from NY who moved down to sunny South Florida 15 years ago!!! I am a registered dietitian, culinary expert and mommy to a 3.5 year old son, Gavin. I love food, but food doesn’t always love me. When I was 15 years old, my grandma told me if you eat pasta, you will lose weight. So, I took that statement to the extreme and ate nothing but pasta and drank crystal light ice tea. This was my diet for 2 years. At that time, I started loosing my hair, stomach pains after I ate, very moody and no weight loss. My mom got concerned, and took me to doctors who told me it was female pattern baldness and better get used to it. We eventually made to a holistic doctor and the first question she asked me was, WHAT DO YOU EAT? Basically, I was malnourished. I also figured out I am allergic to foods like red meat, salmon, and snapper. This really made me realize it’s so important what you put in your body. Food effects you inside and out. After graduating college, becoming a registered dietitian, I decided to go to culinary school.   Eating healthy is so important as is spending time with family and taking care of yourself. As a mom, we take care of everyone one else but the number one person we need to take care of is yourself. This page is to help you learn to cook easy, healthy meals, meal prep ideas so you can spend more time with family. I will also be providing information about plant based diets and motivational/funny quotes to keep you going. I am here for you. Any questions you have, don’t hesitate to DM me Join me on this fun journey of motherhood! Check out my bio and download the free plant based shopping list!

Swap in your choice of dairy for these Fluffy Greek Yogurt Pancakes! 🥞 Yogurt, sour cream, buttermilk or buttermilk substitutions (regular or non-dairy milk with lemon or vinegar) all work great in this recipe, which yields the lightest, fluffiest stack of flapjacks. 🙌🏻 Top them off with fruit, nuts, chocolate chips or maple syrup. ❤️ Credits: @justataste

Our family loves pizza Especially making it at home together. Today was vegetarian night where I used all the leftover vegetables in the refrigerator like broccoli, sautéed spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and garlic. We baked it in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes. So delicious and crispy!! You don’t even miss the cheese! What’s your favorite toppings on pizza?🍕🍕🍕

We love when we can enjoy the cheesy goodness of pizza while also getting our serving of veggies in. Zucchini is the star of these pizza boats to welcome summer with open arms. Credits: @eatingwell

“Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger. Can I take your order?” 🍔 Happy #nationalburgerday

Since it was so crappy out this weekend, I was craving some comfort food. My grandma used to make me fried shrimp when she would come to visit. So, I decided to make a healthier version. 😍 I breaded with the shrimp with gluten free bread crumbs and put them in the air fryer for 9 minutes. They were so crispy and not rubbery. I had a left over cilantro sauce that I used for dressing. ( 3 tbsp Mayo, 1 handful of cilantro, 1/4 lemon juice, salt and pepper) What’s your go to comfort food?
