I never imagined this summer would be as chaotic as it has been. We have been flying back and forth to see sick loved ones. Can I tell you something?? This baby boy has made it “easy” to be a mom of two under two these past three months. Today, I celebrate that small win. It’s a real ones birthday today. My grandpa affectionately known as Papi turns 88 today 🎉🎉🎉. I thought since my husband and one year old were gone for a week I’d be able to get so much done. I literally spent 6am-10pm working in circles it felt like. Tell me about your favorite donut spot. I won’t judge you if it’s Dunkin Donuts… but, uh…. One of my favorite donut spots when we lived in Miami was The Salty Donut. I’m basic, so I love a good glazed donut, which they have. I was even happy to find out they had a location in Dallas too. Now, I just need them to make their way to Washington. I thought since it was #NationalDonutDay that I would share one of my favorite donut shops. If you’re ever in the Miami or Dallas area check them out. Tell them Alyssa sent you! Is this a safe space? It’s been like two years since I’ve worn heels for real. The Pandemic didn’t help that. I go from my leopard print house slippers to my leopard print slid in shoes. It wasn’t until later in life I grew to have my OWN appreciation for books. Granted many of them in my early twenties were drama & scandal filled. My cousin rita.onyx shared a snippet of yvonneorji book with me on friday night. I bought it that night and finished it TODAY!!! When I tell you this is a BOMB book. Double tap if you love to travel ‼️ I saw a sweater that said “travel now kids later” I hate the mentality that once you have kids, you can’t travel. That’s just not true. My parents traveled with us all the time. Both domestic and international. I mean honestly, traveling first class to Europe, Hawaii 25 + times, I was living the dream as a kid. (Singapore & Panama are my favorites) Traveling is something I am and will be doing with my kiddos. A few weeks ago we took a day trip to Seattle and saw a few sights.
