I am a mother of three toddlers, a mini golden doodle and a food lover! I focus on a diet-free lifestyle while incorporating healthy foods into our meals.

My following is a part of my journey due to their IBS or Dysautonomia (PoTS) story, food allergies, millennial cooking, and/or mothering story.

I love working with brands to give them maximum exposure and hopefully create a long-term, Warner partnership!

⚠️ Trigger warning ⚠️ (the picture not the story. The story should encourage you 🌻 Read the whole thing to find the BIG VICTORY I’ve had. This is huge... well still small. Only 106lbs, but keep reading!!!!! • Look at the 3rd pic. I was obsessing over my symptoms. Googling everything only to find “you’re going to be sick for a long time. Good luck.” My sister texted me and told me to stop obsessing over my symptoms and start living! I decided that no matter how sick I felt, I would eat. I wasn’t restricting because I was afraid I would gain weight — I wanted that. I genuinely am so sick and we don’t have answers (yet). I didn’t want to eat because I didn’t know what if something happened?! What if xyz was why I felt so sick when I ate?!. And even sharing this is difficult. • What makes it difficult is you’d like “she’s restricting out of not wanting to gain weight and being afraid,” or so I thought you’d say if I used the word “restrict.” SO ☀️ I decided I would eat no matter how sick I felt. Six meals per day. Dessert. Snacks. Foods I couldn’t tolerate and all. I AM GLAD TO SAY THAT 👇 • 1. I haven’t felt this nauseated since I was pregnant and I’m not pregnant. This is equal. 2. My acid reflux is horrendous 3. I’ve had several episodes of dizziness and severe chest pain, dehydration, etc 4. I’ve broken out in hives, I currently, as of today, cannot eat without numbness and tingling in my face, swollen lips, acid reflux, nausea, constipation/alternating with diarrhea. • “SABRINA WHERE IS THE POSITIVE?!” 😊 I HAVE GAINED FIVE POUNDS! That was my goal! My goal wasn’t to avoid getting sick anymore. It was to eat and gain weight to restore my body back to who she was designed to be. Orthorexia is difficult because it’s often linked to REAL food allergies, autoimmune diagnosis related to food, or somebody finding TRUE healing on a diet like intermittent fasting, paleo or keto. How do you explain that to be an eating disorder? It is, my friends. I’m here to share my story. Of not avoiding my issues, but facing my symptoms head on, and seeking healing. Not avoiding my triggers, but looking them in the eyes and overcoming. You are strong enough, my friend.

Can we quit normalizing skipping meals? •annoyed “to eat” and “not ignore it” ARENT aligned but we fine 🥴. When I save things from the app I use, it does this. I should’ve double checked 😅🙄🥴 • 1. Fasting forced you to ignore hunger cues thus forces your body to unlearn hunger cues; so you not only struggle to know when you’re hungry, but struggle to know when you’re full. 2. Studies have this proven this dangerous for hormonal heath in women (controls mood, appetite, fertility, weight gain/loss, digestive enzyme production, energy, blood flow) 3. Creates more stress on digestive process when you do eat due to potential electrolyte/blood sugar imbalances. When is it SAFE to fast? 1. Your doctor told you to, and is monitoring your fast due to an upcoming procedure, IBD, IBS, or an illness 2. Morning liquid fasts that includes a smoothie with protein, fats, carbohydrates, sugar (fruit counts) and adequate calories. Coffee is allowed. Anything blended is allowed. BENEFITS? It simply allows your tummy to wake up. I personally do not tolerate food first thing in the morning, but I NEED to have nutrients in! Juices are okay to incorporate, but it is NOT enough. You need FUEL. A warm puréed breakfast soup is also fun! *** I WAKE UP AT 6:30/7 and drink a smoothie no later than 8, and breakfast (eggs and potatoes or toast) no later than 10/10:30) This works best for me, and you can ask your medical professional if they think it is right for you as well. 3. When you’re being chased by big foot always fast, never slow. I planned to be a young mother of three little, doing fun things, being busy, being out and about, being THAT mom, but life looks different. I have the family I love, but what the day to day looks like is out of my control. 🙏 If you don’t know me, HI! I am Sabrina Winn. I have a chronic illness that affects of autonomic nervous system. I have bee diagnosed PoTS and MCAS, but know there is a deeper rooted cause of both. I’m working with a talented GI doctor in town, and hoping to find SOME answers regarding my IBS. I have been heading down hill for four years, but one year ago, my IBS became worse than ever, I tried curing myself with every diet out there until realizing I was doing more harm than good. 😣😣😣 Today, I speak out against all diet claims and diet culture in hope help you find freedom, as I find my own. Each day is challenging as I am recovering from a serious chronic illness as well as lies from diet culture. ✌️ I can’t wait to share more of my story as this healing unfolds. ••• Even if I never heal, He is always good, He is always for me. NoT eVeRyThInG Is fOoD rElATeD... and tbh.. a diet extreme may do more harm than good. Follow a BALANCED lifestyle, but diet culture can G O! 👉

#ad LIFE TIP: it’s okay to need help. I’m thankful for companies like @maryruthorganics looking out for our bodies in areas we may lack in diet OR in my case, absorption. B vitamins are essential to gut health, central nervous system health and overall functionality of our bodies! Have you ever heard of MTHFR?! Studies have shown that this is linked to a deficiency in B vitamins! Ask your doctor to check your levels if you’re suspicious, and get yourself a quality b complex or b12 from @maryruthorganics . When I was pregnant, I incorporated a b complex and it helped my nausea and energy to the point where I felt like a different person all together! New faces, new followers. Let me re-introduce myself! 🥰🥰🥰 drop a 👋 to say hi! • 1. Thanks for following! I’m Sabrina Winn and created this blog to share my story of severe Celiac, IBS and PoTS. I have other diagnosis, but these are the only two I’m truly accepting, BECAUSE 2. I’m starting over. I’ve been sick my whole life, but got sick I was basically dying last summer. I know things that contributed, but honestly... we don’t know why. We don’t know why I started getting better in November only to crash. I was eating banana and sweet potatoes for months. 3. This page is to share my story of food fears and finding food freedom. I was terrified of foods to the point of where my body didn’t want ANYTHING. 4. My immune system is an ass hole and my body constantly hurts and is constantly sick 🤢 💩 I rarely have energy, but I LOVE my life and it’s a beautiful life to live. I am so eternally grateful for the things I have. I want to inspire others to break free from diet culture. You don’t realize how toxic it is until you’ve tried every diet to heal and started getting better when you added processed foods, animal protein, fatty foods, and everything in a beautiful BALANCE. I can’t eat salads and raw veggies due to tummy issues. I’m here for those of you that get sick eating healthy and want to find balance of nutrition without baking cookies made from difficult to digest protein powders. 🙄 Im healing from fears of food. 5. I am in school 🏫 📚 👩‍💻 planning to become a registered dietician and hopefully minoring in psychology to help those break free from restrictive eating and maximize their meals with nutrients AND joy! You should enjoy your food! Even if it’s ice cream! 6. My recipes are how we can optimize guy health by giving our body well digested nutrients in the form we absorb best (which is individualized), break free from daily stressors contributing to the rising trend in chronic illness and how to have joy in your illness. 7. You can expect tummy friendly recipes without dietary limitations! If you’re like me, “healthy” diets have made you more sick. I’ve found that by allowing myself ALL foods (excluding gluten as I have Celiac’s disease, an autoimmune condition in which my body mistakes gliadin, protein found in wheat, rye, barely and others, as an invader). I always felt BEST when I was pregnant, and I couldn’t figure out why. I was puking upwards of 14x per day without medication; so why did I feel better? Because I listened to my body as my cravings were much more intense. I craved carbs, sodium, magnesium, potassium and glucose rich foods. All of these support hormonal and adrenal health! **** you do not need to use gluten-free unless you have a TRUE allergy or celiac’s disease**** • Recently, instead of saying “how is this harming me?” I ask “how is this helping me?” This trail mix, though many would call it “junk food,” I call it, “a perfect snack”! Marshmallows contain gelatin in which support healthy gut function. Chocolate contains magnesium, iron and potassium which promotes healthy blood flow and better digestion. Pretzels contain carbs, iron and b vitamins. Almonds are a great source of protein (blanched almonds are easier to digest). Graham crackers are a fun treat and you don’t need an excuse to enjoy something. This trail mix together curbs cravings later on and can prevent binging as it is filling and fueling! • All about fruits, veggies and Whole Foods. But I’m also about a good snack.••• believe it or not, this snack makes me feel much better than any “healthy” snack. I am sure to choose @hukitchen chocolate when possible as it is cleaner than most and has a lower GI index than others, but feel free to use any chocolate. These ingredients can all be found at @traderjoeslist (minus Hu Gems, but they have dark chocolate chips as well)! • Don’t forget to tag a a friend! 💋
