I'm going to learn Maori: why & my study plan

Don’t get me wrong, Maori Language Week is a great initiative and has made great progress in getting people interested in Te Reo Maori. Often times I have felt like I don’t belong to any particular culture, because the native culture of New Zealand is the Maori culture and that is not something I have ever felt like I can relate to at all. – imagine if we could all have Maori as our first language instead, a language that is special to us and unique to Aotearoa New Zealand? Because Maori language is now being promoted so much in New Zealand, I don’t think it will be hard to learn at all due to the abundant resources now available, and the amount of native exposure to it that I get.

Road trip in the South Island of New Zealand: Self-drive itinerary

Our next stop on our road trip in the South Island was at Aoraki/Mt Cook village only 1 hour from Lake Tekapo. One restaurant I recommend is Flame Bar & Grill, at a new location, right on the lake front, 1st floor Steamer Wharf, Queenstown. This part of the South Island road trip is 280km long and takes about 3 hours and 36 mins. What to see in your South Island road trip between Queenstown and Dunedin:

How to learn Portuguese

But whether or not that’s you, learning grammar is a vital foundation to learning any language, and it will help you a lot as you get further along in the language. Pimsleur is slow and I wouldn’t recommend it on its own to learn a language, but it is without a doubt a great way to learn pronunciation and copy the Brazilian accent with better precision. To decide which one to focus on first, you should think about what your goals are for the language (for example, if you’re learning it for university study, reading might be more important, but if you’re learning it to interact with people, listening will probably be more useful). These people might be wanting to learn English or another language you speak, though, so you will need to make an effort to make sure you get your chance to practise as well.

10 common mistakes in Spanish

Some Spanish learners omit the pronoun and end up with sentences like: Related to the point above, English speakers learning Spanish often use the wrong prepositions. I have another article all about mastering pronunciation, but let’s see some specific mistakes in Spanish pronunciation many English speakers make. One thing that makes it hard for English speakers to accurately pronounce Spanish words is the fact that English has a lot more vowel sounds than Spanish does. The other part is separating how you read English words from how you read Spanish words, so you are not just automatically pronouncing Spanish words with an English accent.
