POV, it's summer 2022- the world is opening back up, you’re booking your flights, you’re going on HGW(s), all is right in the world...again, kinda sorta⠀ •⠀ •⠀ If you find yourself abroad this summer, which I hope you do, here are some tips:⠀ *make a saved list in google maps- this allows you to navigate a city without using data⠀ * don't be afraid to use metros- easy to use and cheaper than ubers/taxis⠀ * if you're lost, it is okay to put your pride aside & politely ask a stranger for help⠀ * pickpocketing is a thing & these people are magicians- make sure your bag has a zipper, keep it in front of your body, & try to keep a hand on your bag especially in crowded areas⠀ *leave your passport locked up in your hotel/hostel/etc- you don’t need to carry it around a city⠀ *book tickets in advance⠀ * be patient when dining, this is a leisurely activity ⠀ *saying hi and thank you in the local language goes a long way ⠀ *things go wrong- you may have a cancelled flight, you may miss a train…it’s sucks, believe me I know, but don’t let it ruin your whole trip • #SummerTravel #Explore #Europe #Backpack #RedWine #VinoTinto #Spain #Barcelona #Rioja #DrinkAroundTheWorld
