Wow, we had the most incredible food experience with @elfuego.sf at @offthegridsf in Foster City! First off, their chicken taco was absolutely mouthwatering. The seasoned chicken was so flavorful, paired perfectly with creamy avocado, tangy cojita cheese, and a zingy kick from fresh lime and avocado salsa. Each bite was a burst of flavor! And then there was their healthy bowl - a total game changer! It was a colorful mix of rice, black beans, tomatoes, purple cabbage, Monterey Jack cheese, and corn, all topped with a generous dollop of crema and avocado. We couldn’t resist adding some carne asada for that extra protein, but you can totally keep it veggie-friendly and it’s just as delicious. 🥗 Honestly, it felt like all the best parts of a taco were packed into this big, satisfying bowl. We can’t believe we can find nature like this in the middle of a neighborhood in our city! The Redwood Grove Nature Preserve is a gem in the middle of a concrete jungle located in Los Altos California. The preserve is pet friendly for well behaved on leash friends. There are picnic tables and a stream for water play. Be sure to bring sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and your smile. We stopped by the @the.good.salad in Los Altos Sunday to sample their new weekend brunch menu at the @statestreetmarket in @dtlosaltos • The Smoked Egg Sandwich was a tastebuds delight. With smoked egg, cream cheese, Za’atar and mayo the flavors danced on the tongue! It was creamy, herbaceous and that fresh house made focaccia is out of this world delicious! 10/10 • The Bacon Chili Crunch had creamy avocado, caramelized onions, bacon, and house made chili crunch. This delight was a flavor bomb! The smokiness of the bacon paired so well with the caramelized onions and avocado but the highlight was that chili crunch it set the flavors over the top! 10/10 • Served with a delicious fruity slaw with cabbage, Granny Smith apples, dates, toasted almonds, radish, pear sherry maple vinaigrette and good glaze. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Complimenting the delicious smokey sandwiches and adding a delightful balance of flavors. 10/10 • The Karak Chai was earthy and creamy with a slight sweetness that didn’t overpower the tea. It was the perfect accompaniment and a nice deviation from morning coffee. 10/10 • Those Date Bombs are a decadent finish to your meal. Dark chocolate covered date that has been stuffed with pistachio cream and topped with crushed pistachio. Not too sweet and yet still very satisfying, especially when sipping on that tea! 10/10 The big question is always “Would you go back?” YES! In a heartbeat. @the.good.salad serves fresh ingredients and creates flavor combos like no other! Busy fun weekend … We just had to end it with a delicious tea from @bobablissofficial Today’s delight was their Thai Black Milk Tea with Oat Milk and no boba today. (Although @bobablissofficial has the BEST tasting boba we have had). It was absolutely delicious and satisfying.
