Why I'm Learning Italian with Rosetta Stone

I made it one of my goals for 2019 to learn the Italian language but being that I’m constantly on the road – making time to practice seemed to be a daunting task; until I started learning Italian with Rosetta Stone! Each lesson in the unit helps the user practice the lesson, almost repetitively, before advancing to the exercise, or “test” of the unit and accompanying lessons. A “reading” exercise (right), in which the user will select the photo that represents the statement read above and a “listening” exercise (left) in which the user will select the photo that represents the statement they listen to above. Rosetta Stone also offers heaps of subscriptions which range from three months to six months to twelve months and 24 months and if you’re interested in an annual subscription you can sign up with a nice discount from my friends at Rosetta Stone.

The Best Beauty Products for Stressed Winter Skin

The following products are the best products I’ve come across to save your skin from the harsh winter weather: My friend Haley put me onto this awesome lip sleeping mask that comes in either berry or vanilla flavor (I opted for the berry! ) and with hyaluronic acid, minerals, vitamin C and antioxidants – a heaping layer of this mask before bed helps to reduce the flaky, cracked, dry lips that winter can sometimes produce and leaves you with soft, supple and refreshed lips when you wake up. Finding a great oil-free serum can sometimes be difficult but this herbal hydrating serum comes jam packed with gingko and ginseng to not only hydrate but also soften and invigorate the skin making it a great addition to any winter skincare routine for dewy, glowing skin. I was first introduced to bio-oil as an oil to help with scarring nearly 20 years ago when I cut open my eyebrow and had to get stitches on my face. This coconut melt from Kopari is great because it’s everything you know and love about moisturizing, soothing coconut oil and can be used to help treat dry skin (from body to face) as well as a hair mask and even as shaving oil.

I had so many delicious beignets (like these from The Vintage that I even wrapped up the Ultimate Guide to Beignets in New Orleans. From the oyster tacos (bottom right) to the crab beignets (middle) to the truffle mac’n cheese (middle left) to the fried green tomatoes (top right) – I loved that The Vintage has this fun cone to fill with their mini beignets and take to go (or for a perfect photo op in front of facades! ) This spread from Bouree was *delicious* from the frozen Hurricane (top left) to the kimchi and lemongrass wings with miso aioli *drool* (middle) to the chicken salad po’boy (on the right) to the burnt brisket ends cheese fries
