Acclaimed Steakhouse Chain Steak 48 To Open San Diego Location

Owned by the family that founded Los Angeles's iconic Mastro's Steakhouse, Steak 48 is a trendy steakhouse restaurant set to open its first San Diego location later this year. Steak 48 is a family run, Scottsdale, AZ-based steakhouse concept founded by Dennis Mastro, his son's Jeffrey & Michael, and the family's unofficial "adopted" son Scotty Troilo, who began working at the family's original restaurant The San Diego branch of Steak 48 will open by year's end in the 6,000 square-foot space that last housed Searsucker in Del Mar Highlands Town Center. Steak 48 is anticipated to open by year's end at 12995 El Camino Real, Suite 21, within Del Mar Highlands Town Center in San Diego's Del Mar region.

Tamarindo Latin Kitchen Unveils In San Diego's Del Mar Neighborhood

Tamarindo Del Mar is currently open from 4-10pm daily at 1555 Camino Del Mar, Suites 116-117, in San Diego's North County community of After shuttering the original North Park location last spring, Tamarindo Latin Kitchen & Bar has unveiled its sprawling 4,000 square foot bar & restaurant on the base floor of Del Mar Plaza. Tamarindo Latin Kitchen was founded by Moose Restaurant Group , which currently owns and operates Fred Mexican Cafe locations in San Diego's Old Town, Huntington Beach, Kihei Hawaii, and two Moose’s Pub & Cafés in Hawaii. The restaurant's menu offers a variety of classic Mexican dishes like rolled tacos, quesadillas, carne asada, tacos, salads, soups and sandwiches, as well as more creative signature offerings like carne asada yucca fies, a seafood-filled molcajete, and Oaxacan fig chicken mole.

Mini Golf Course & Cocktail Bar Coming To San Diego's Liberty Station

The property features a 9-hole golf course, a driving range and a bar & grill that was managed by San Diego hospitality company Good Time Design from 2014 until January 2020 when You & Yours Distilling Company founders Laura Johnson and Lukey Mahoney took over operations. With the end of its management lease over Loma Club, Good Time Design continued to have a presence in Liberty Station by taking over the space last occupied by Fireside By The Patio space to open The Presley and also recently secured a lease on the former El Jardin building for a new Mexican restaurant. Laura Johnson and Luke Mahoney, who are both residents of Point Loma, will break ground next month to build an 18-hole, family-friendly mini-golf course dubbed Tappers Mini Golf & Cocktails. The operator's of The Loma Club in San Diego's Liberty Station will soon begin construction to add an 18-hole miniature golf course to the property as they rebrand the concept to become Tappers Mini Golf & Cocktails at The Loma Club

Gypsy Alchemist To Bring Sand-Brewed Coffee To San Diego

The menu at Gypsy Alchemist will be centered around sand-brewed Turkish coffee, a special brewing method that involves using very hot sand to brew coffee. The cafe will also offer Egyptian coffee, pour over coffee, house-made Chai tea, a range of herbal teas & beverages, and house-baked goods like cream scones, muffins, shortbread cookies, fruit tarts, breads, streusel, caramel apple hand pies, and more.
