Let’s talk about the importance of the mind-body connection, and how it brought me to my newest addition to my 2021 self care routine- @streamwellbeing Recovery CBD oil. My routine consists of working out as much as I can throughout the week, not only because I want to enhance my physical appearance, but because I understand that exercise makes me a happier person. However, this alone is not always enough to combat the daily stress and anxieties that follow me, so I decided to try out the Recovery version of the Stream CBD. Chase your stars, fool. Life is short. - @atticus ✨ I started a “New Year” meditation the other day and it told me to envision myself doing what makes me happiest in the year to come. What’s crazy is I couldn’t even imagine something as incredible as this (actually) candid photo @jenndunnn took of me arriving to the Queenstown airport in NZ last year. We tend to forget we’re living in our happiest moments sometimes when we’re in the thick of them, but I know I’ll be channeling back to this this year, & most importantly- I’ll have even more appreciation for it and the amazing people I was surrounded by than I did before. For example, we tried to “create our own salads” at a restaurant in Dubrovnik that didn’t offer this option, but we felt like having salads, and weren’t feeling enticed by the salad ingredients on their menu. When the weather didn’t work in our favor the day we were supposed to visit Krka National park, a big plan on our bucket list, we were able to find a beautiful hiking area called Jardin with two beautiful beaches to explore. If you’re traveling from the US, it’s unlikely you’ll find many direct flights to a country like Croatia. If you are planning to travel internationally to ANY country during these times, make sure that you are willing to treat travel like a person that you love unconditionally- appreciating them all the same at their best and worst.

Our tour to Krka got cancelled due to stormy weather, but we were fortunate enough to find this beautiful little beach outside of Split. Our (non-refundable) flight to London this morning wouldn’t let us on due to COVID circumstances, so we we were forced re-route to Dublin tonight. In two days, I’ll be officially furloughed from the job that taught me the importance having a plan A, B, C and D for everything, the importance of being transparent, and always knowing how to improvise it even when the world feels like it’s turning upside down. Those kinds of traits can only be learned from struggles, and the kinds of pleasure like the one in front of me can only be appreciated when you’ve known them. Even in a week full of stormy weather in the midst of a pandemic, Croatia still made me fall in love, and reminded me of the love I have for traveling. This week has reminded me that no matter how long it takes for my job to return; if it ever even does, I will always find a plan B or C that brings me to the places my heart yearns to explore.
