BACARDI OLD FASHIONED Adapted from The Old Waldorf-Astoria Bar Book (1935 Reprint) INGREDIENTS 1 teaspoon sugar One dash Angostura Bitters Two Dashes Orange Bitters 1 1/2 ounces BACARDI® Rum INSTRUCTIONS 1. In a mixing glass, soak sugar with bitters. 2. Add rum and ice. 3. Stir and strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass. 4. Garnish with fruit and mint.

Definitely worth a revisit Negroni Limone INGREDIENTS 1 ounce Malfy Gin 1 ounce Cinzano Extra Dry Vermouth 1 ounce Limoncello 2 dashes Angostura Bitters INSTRUCTIONS Combine ingredients in an ice-filled mixing glass. Stir. Strain over ice. Garnish with lemon peel or dried lemon slice.

This next recipe may not be what the English, or the Dutch, had in mind. But it may help in braving the summer heat. COOLER THAN CUCUMBER 2 ounces Dry Gin 1 ounce limes juice .75 ounce simple syrup 2-3 thinly sliced Cucumber 4 mint leaves (plus a sprig for garnishing) INSTRUCTIONS 1. In a shaker tin, muddle cucumber and mint with syrup. 2. Add lime juice and gin. 3. Shake with ice. 4. Double strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. 5. Garnish with mint.
