What are some of your reasons to see a chiropractor? Back when I started school I was dealing with a pain that I ignored for so long. I couldn’t sit in a seat without changing positions to help the pain. Sleeping was hard for me as my lower back pain kept me up. School was demanding and I had to get this pain taken care of. My first intern was actually Dr. Kason at @boundless.chiropractic And he helped me out! I never realized how important it is to address those pains instead of ignoring them. Now two years later I’m able to do the same as I’m now an intern myself 🙏🏾❤️ If you are interested in giving chiropractic a try, message me or call to make an appointment! Ok, so you are in tri 8, so how's the clinic going?⁣ ⁣ I've gotten this question a lot in the past few days, and it's somewhat funny. We are actually all still in orientation! So no, we are not seeing patients just yet, but there's some important stuff that has to happen first. ⁣ ⁣ Because our clinic is a place for the public and not just students, we have to become well versed with a wide variety of things. We have modules over HIPAA, superbills, ICD coding, informed consent, billing, policies, just to name a few. ⁣ ⁣ So clinic is just a lot of videos, reading, and quizzes right now, but I'll be seeing patients soon enough! :)

Today marks the first day of tri 8 and also the count day for a year when I’ll walk across the stage to become a doctor! 👩🏾‍⚕️ I’m so happy to be here and even more so to see what is in store for the future. ❤️‍🔥

So it's official! I'm going to clinic! ⁣ ⁣ If I said Trimester 1-7 was easy for me that would be beyond dishonest. I learned a lot and I'm grateful for the education I received from the many knowledgeable professors at @parkeruniversity. With that said... I'm so excited to begin Clinic in the fall!⁣ ⁣ I will still be technically in school but hey! No more finals! I am blessed to have the opportunity to work under a clinic doctor to start serving the Dallas community. ⁣ ⁣ I'm beyond elated to start this new chapter. Sooo these will be my LAST set of finals I'll take for my DC program. 🎉 Being online⁣ for over a year, I've realized that taking finals from bed isn't the best for me. I love the flexibility to take most of my finals whenever I can during the day, so I take advantage of this! ⁣ ⁣ Before starting any final I make sure I'm not hungry and alert. Taking finals when you are at your best is 🔑 to bettering your chances of doing well! ⁣ ⁣ Now on to my list :) ⁣ - stable internet: one trimester I had a horrendous connection and had to email professors about resetting the exam. One was 100 questions that I had to retake!! 🤦🏾‍♀️Never again! I check my connection at home and if it's a little spotty I'll go to my local library to take my exam :) It's pretty nice since you can reserve a room.⁣ ⁣ - a snack: snacks help you focus on the task at hand... well at least me! I always keep a snack that keeps my brain fueled.⁣🧠 ⁣ - water: duh! ⁣🌊 ⁣ -a fun drink- I used to be a barista for 5 years so really most of the fun comes from making the drink. Doing something fun like that is one of the few ways that help me relax for my final!⁣ ⁣ What's something that you do before your exam to Ace it?

To be honest I haven’t been doing as much reading and journaling as I would like. But hey habits take time and consistency! Anyways have you heard of the 5am club? I might have to join😂 waking up early is hard but I always feel the most productive in the morning! What’s a book you are currently reading?

More charcuterie boards because why not☺️. If you have learned one thing about me is that I love food! This past year I’ve tried to eat more of the rainbow and try new vegetables I usually wouldn’t cook for myself. What’s something you would enjoy on your ideal charcuterie board?

Sometimes all we need is to get back to nature. Really feeling like I need a cabin retreat 🌳🦌

Why is it so hard to get enough fruits and vegetables a day?⁣ ⁣ If you don't get enough, you aren't alone. A study published in the CDC’s November 17, 2017, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report shows only about one in 10 adults meets federal recommendations. Federal guidelines recommend that adults eat at least 1½ to 2 cups per day of fruit and 2 to 3 cups per day of vegetables as part of a healthy eating pattern.⁣ ⁣ I am a person who has some issues making sure I get enough a day.
