This was actually one of those “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” cases. Because I KNOW we shouldn’t do it, but it’s hard not to when you just don’t like the cover. Sure, if it’s in a fantasy book or something and isn’t the main storyline, I’ll probably like it, but romance books just aren’t my thing. And I can’t help but feel like there’s so much to applaud this book for, diversity-wise.

When I received the first book in this series for review a while back, I was very kindly sent the second book along with it too. My feelings towards this book are really similar to the first book. I was looking forward to seeing the after effects of the previous book’s events, and was actually quite surprised it managed to be a shorter book. And I feel like if a bit more research was thrown into little details like that, this book would have been so much more enjoyable for me.
