10 Ways to Preserve Your Travel Memories

I’ve finally had time to sort through my photos and choose some to create my very own photo book full of travel memories. While this isn’t much good if you can’t travel anywhere, when you are travelling, collecting souvenirs from each place you visit such as postcards or fridge magnets will help you to remember your fabulous holiday memories. Buying paintings by local artists of the places you visit is another lovely way to support local artisans and bring your travel memories home. Tips to Improve your Travel Photography Clothes are another way to preserve your travel memories, and I love buying clothes and accessories from markets and cute shops I find on my travels.

Chichen Itza vs Tulum Mayan Ruins in Mexico

If you are staying in Tulum, obviously Tulum ruins are much closer than Chichen Itza Tulum, on the other hand, does not have world wonder status, but the location of the Tulum ruins on a cliff overlooking the sea is absolutely stunning. You can arrange Chichen Itza tours from basically anywhere in the Yucatan, the most popular being tours from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Merida and Valladolid. If you come to Tulum by bus or collectivo from Cancun or Playa del Carmen, they usually drop you off on the main road going through Tulum, which is a 10-15 minute walk from the entrance to the ruins.

What Not to Do in Lisbon Portugal

It’s not hard to find a million great guides to this vibrant Portuguese city, sharing what to do and where to go. So, instead of giving you the typical weekend guide or top list of things to do in Lisbon, here are my best suggestions which of those top sights and experiences you can actually skip in Lisbon – and what you can do instead to give you a different, local perspective on this vibrant Portuguese city. The terraced garden of Jardim de São Pedro de Alcântara gives you spectacular views of the city. If you prefer a sea view, don’t miss the Miradouro de Santa Luzia, a pretty garden next to the Santa Luzia Church where you can sit and soak up the sunshine while looking out to sea.

5 Workaway Alternatives to Consider for your Work Exchange

We’ll cover Worldpackers, HelpX, WWOOF, Hippohelp & Volunteers Base, and you’ll also find a $10 discount code to use on Worldpackers if you decide to try them out. I’ve teamed up with Worldpackers to offer all Tales of a Backpacker readers a $10 discount, which means you only need to pay $39 USD for a full year’s verified membership. Cost: $49 USD for 1 year for a solo membership or $39 USD with this discount code $59 USD for 1 year for a couple/joint membership or $49 USD with this discount code Workaway and Worldpackers are in my opinion the two best work exchange sites, but for me, Worldpackers just tips the scales for the excellent value of membership (with the discount), their level of support and added extras in their community like the Worldpacker Gigs and Worldpacker Academy.
