Twirligig- Rainbow Paper Spinner Toy

How to Make the Paper Spinner Toy To make this paper spinner toy (or twirligig), you will need paper (we used this colored paper), a long wooden skewer, and glue. We used both a glue stick and a hot glue gun to assemble this. Start by rubbing glue from a glue stick all over one of the circles. Reach the glue gun in to the under side of that top circle and add some hot glue there, too.

Healthy Habits Challenge for Families

After the holidays I always like to realign my health and work on putting healthy habits back in place. I really want my kids to learn healthy habits while they are young so they can continue it as they grow up. This health challenge is for anyone who wants to keep their healthy habits on track! I do not have kids that need to lose weight, I just want them making healthy choices so they will have a healthy future.

FUN Fact Family Math Presents

These Fact Family Math Presents have been on my to-do list for a few years, and am finally getting to them! A fact family is a group of three math equations that all use the same set of numbers. The printable presents include an addition and subtraction version as well as a multiplication and division version. Each present has four sections, so you can practice two addition (or multiplication) problems as well as two subtraction (or division) problems.

Simple Christmas Gift for Neighbors or Teachers

I love finding a great simple Christmas gift to give out to friends, neighbors or teachers at this time of year. This tradition came about because they wanted a way to prevent the birds from getting into their stores of grain, so they would bundle up their last sheaf of grain (called a julenek) and out front on a pole or other rooftop for the birds. Print out the little gift tag and attach to your bag of birdseed with a cute matching ribbon. On Christmas eve, ’tis said, A sheaf of grain (julenek) is hung on high, To feed the birds o’erhead.
