Cue the tears every time you’re a month older 🥺 Every day there’s a new sound, facial expression, movement; it is so beautiful and exciting and bittersweet to witness. I really do love my daughter madly. 🥹 Her latest thing is grabbing and squeezing every part of my face and exploring it like “There you are, Peter!” IYKYK 🪝 She is also trying so hard to talk but just sounds like a pterodactyl. Her laughs and giggles might just be the most joyful sounds I’ve ever heard. Our family story continued… 🪽 Pregnancy journey time! I turned 40 while on contract performing onboard Virgin Voyages. I arrived back to NYC for Christmas knowing that was my last time with the show. I was feeling totally off in February but figured it was just the post-gig blues. In early March we went grocery shopping and I like HAD to have pickles and ate them all in one night (do not recommend this ever) and thought HUH… I was nervous to take a test for a little while, but when I was about to go on a week long trip to Mexico with my ship friends I obviously had to. The pregnancy was confirmed by my doctor the day I was flying to Paris to meet James on his Batman in Concert conducting gig. The day after I got there James proposed. How did we become a family of three? 👨‍👩‍👧 Having a child was something I always thought I would eventually probably maybe do… but it wasn’t a definite for me, especially before meeting my partner. And then of course once I was nearing 40 I figured it was probably too late and who knew if I would even be able to get pregnant. We decided (ok I mostly did some convincing) to be open to it after we were fully committed for almost 4 years… Our story to be continued in next post!!! 🥰 Thank you Seraphine Maternity for these perfect matching sweaters!
