Happy Earth Day! 🌎 For those who don’t know, I owned and was the lead designer for an eco-friendly clothing line called Mountains of the Moon for 15 years. (If you’re a follower from back in those days, please leave a comment! 🙋🏼‍♀️) I was also president of my high school’s eco club, interned for an environmental nonprofit in college, and still do what I can to make sustainable choices in my everyday. My kids are so invested in making earth conscious choices too, which means everything to me. I didn’t get to snap a picture of them today, but scrolling through these past Earth Day shots (especially the last one! 🥹) brings me so much joy. 💚🌎🌲

Cringe level cheesy, I know. But also 100% true. My baby who is suddenly a tween is also my very best friend, and as much as I miss the sweet tiny voice and cute little outfits and constant snuggling, I love spending time with her and watching her come into her own. She has some next level sass but a genuinely kind heart, and she’s so much fun to be around. I’m so grateful that I get to be her mom. 💐🌷

I love how springtime feels so fresh and full of possibility, but can we all agree that it’s also a little like holiday season part 2 in terms of the constant hustle? #ad Between endless end-of-school-year activities, yard work and spring cleaning, planning for summer, etc., it can be a overwhelming. 🤪 I am short on time often, and that includes when it comes to making meals. Hi, I’m Melissa and I really like smoothies. I actually did a search in my camera roll for smoothies I’d made over the past couple of years and you can swipe to see just a small handful of them. 😂 Seriously though, who does that? Takes pictures of every freaking smoothie they make? 🤪 Anyway, I’m going to share the recipe below for my # 1 favorite GOAT of my smoothies (seen in first image) and the one I make probably 9 times out of 10. It’s gooooood. 🍍PINEAPPLE AVOCADO KALE SMOOTHIE 🥑 Ingredients: * 2 handfuls of organic baby greens (kale, spinach, chard, etc) * 3/4 cup frozen organic pineapple * 1/4 cup frozen organic mangoes * A few chunks of avocado * 1/2 cup of coconut water, water, or nut milk OR for a thicker smoothie, plain Greek yogurt Blend for 30-60 seconds depending on desired consistency. (If using yogurt, add water as needed.) Drink or pour in a bowl and top with granola, fruit, and chia seeds. Any other obsessive smoothie fans in the house?

Spring Break 2024 🌞🌵Hi guys! I’m back! I try to stay off social media on family vacations, hence my absense here. (I’m sure you all were worried sick. 😂🤪) It was actually a short trip for us because my husband has been on winter tour, but we were able to meet up with him in Arizona after weeks apart and spend a few days together in the sunshine. Swipe through for some highlights - from seeing Cardinals vs. Cubs in their final preseason game to shopping at our favorite outdoor mall, hanging out in Carefree (best town name ever), and, of course, the pool, where our kids pretty much lived the entire time we were there.
