During the Great Downsize a couple years ago things were unearthed, like the rose lights on the cabinet and things were kept, like the small wicker side table which was once white. The wicker table has languished in my basement until I decided I was done with the white and spray painted it bright pink. Another artifact from the Great Downsizing. I had done the woodburning on this small unfinished wood box but that was all. Once I found it I cleaned it, gave it a light sanding and a couple of thin coats of polyurethane. Adventures in Downsizing Part 122. Gave a group of now vintage trolls a bath and shampoo in my bathroom. Couldn't find a convenient place for them to dry off so stood them on the shower seat. A project I finished a couple of weeks ago. I bought this lap desk many years ago. At the time I was experimenting with using dye on unfinished wood. It turned out a horrible pink and the desk disappeared into the Barn at my former home. Fast forward to the Great Downsizing a couple of years ago and I debated whether or not to save or bring to our new home. I chose the latter. The desk is painted a bright yellow, decorated with flower transfers and sealed with a poly varnish. I decoupaged maps on the inside, just for grins.
