AWWW NUTS! . I just ate a cashew.  They are seriously the worst. . They’re like the third wheel of trail mix. I don’t really want them around, but if I want to eat almonds and m&m’s, they’re in there too. . They are like...the guy that is hoping to hook up with their roommate’s girlfriend’s best friend so he just never goes away and does that weird hover in the back of the room.  . I don’t even know how they sneak their way into a handful of trail mix sometimes but then 💥 ! I accidentally eat one. And then they just squish. They’re just a stupid, weenie, wanna be nut that doesn’t even crunch the way it’s supposed to. It just gives up and turns to mush. Worst invention ever. . Ok, rant over. I feel better now.  . Today was supposed to be a post about Vitamin F,  but I just had to get this off my chest instead. You may resume normal Saturday activities now. . This is paleo, low-sugar, gluten free and taste tested in my house! Super 🍞 moist, and delicious! . You need: ✴️3 medium/large bananas mashed ✴️3 eggs ✴️1/4 cup sweetener ✴️1/4 cup melted butter ✴️1 tsp vanilla ✴️1 tsp cinnamon ✴️1 tsp baking soda ✴️1 tsp baking powder ✴️1/4 tsp salt ✴️3 cups almond flour (not meal) ✴️1/2 cup chips if you like! How you think about things determines which road 🗺 you will travel. . An abundance mindset allows you to feel grateful, embrace change, think BIG, stay positive in hard circumstances, and believe that there is “plenty to go around”. . A scarcity mindset can create a negative reaction to things, lead you to blame circumstances and other people when things get hard, create limitations in the mind, and carries the belief that there are limited opportunities, resources, relationships, love, and wealth in the world. . 🌟When you have an abundant mindset, you understand that change is part of life and you can appreciate the fact that change leads to more positive outcomes.🌟 . If you can understand this and be grateful, you will do more things that move you and others around you forward. . On the flip side, if you are plagued by a scarcity mindset and negative thinking, you will spend your time constantly complaining about change instead of actually using change to create the life that you want. . JUST SAY NO‼️ __ **🚨save for when you need a reminder** __ I used to be that person that would rip myself apart in 🤦🏼‍♀️photos. Am I wrinkly? Do I have cellulite? Stomach rolls? Sound familiar? Swipe and zoom in to enjoy my cellulite! __ I also used to be that person that would start every week saying “the diet starts Monday”. Thank goodness that was a very long time ago! __ Now I’m the person that will tell you “I don’t do diets”. I do “lifestyle” __ Now I’m the person that will drill into your head that we ALL have cellulite, wrinkles and rolls. __ I am over here LIVING… just like you 👊🏻 are. Every choice that I make fits into the situation that I am currently in. Are we eating grilled chicken and vegetables?...ok! Are we having tacos (because hello Tuesday! ),guacamole and tequila?.....Hell ✅Yes! __ I am not 🚫motivated because I feel BAD about my body, but motivated by how GOOD I feel! __ My choices are based on education, macros, and experience…with my body and my clients. “𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙋𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚”is actually pretty good advice… __ Sure, it may be easier said than done, but research shows that positive emotions are really good for the body. __ A positive outlook not only aides in healthy behavior changes, but can reduce inflammation in the body, and lower the risk diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis and even overall risk of death. __ So… How do we “stay positive”, especially during challenging times?  __ For one, we understand that life is always going to have positive and negatives, happy and sad, good and bad. I think we all get that now. It is extremely important to FEEL ALL THE FEELS! I’m not saying that you should be happy all of the time! That’s just not realistic. But taking the time to acknowledge your feelings, and sitting with it for awhile, does not and should turn into sitting in that for a long time. __ Next, create the positive emotions you want to feel! __ Understand that you are the person who generates your emotions by what you think.  __ Sure, it may be hard to feel excited or cheerful during stressful times, but we can tap into some other emotions - even if just for a few minutes here and there throughout the day. __ 💖 Strong 💖 Proud 💖 Cheerful 💖 Calm 💖 Joy 💖 Love 💖 Motivation 💖 Grateful __ What is one positive emotion you are choosing to feel today? . . . #mindsetmatters #emotions #positiveoutlook

🛑STOP SCROLLING🛑 WILL SCHOOL OPEN BACK UP? Let’s talk. . RESET. . How many times have you done this since March 13th? March 13th is my marker for this pandemic. It was my last emergency in person Board of Ed meeting. . I had an in person meeting last night. Wearing 😷 masks. Spread out more than 6 feet. To discuss, among other things, schools opening in September. It was weird. Was I uncomfortable? No. . Would you have been? . We have 🚫ZERO🚫guidance right now from NY State. Schools are making multiple plans. For example, we have a Task Force with 50 people (doctors, mental health professionals and parents included), separated into different committees, to work on the the plans. . 1. ➡️Total Virtual 2. ➡️In-person 3. ➡️Hybrid . When will be get guidance from our leader? I don’t know. I wish I did. . I hope that our kids can go back to school, with the proper guidelines in place. They need the socialization. They need the face time with their teachers. . ✅Am I scared of this virus?HELL YES. ✅Do I wear a mask? HELL YES. ✅Do I wash my hands? HELL YES. ❌Do I have the answers? NOPE. . There are so many opinions about in-person school vs virtual learning. . I will fight like hell to get our kids back in school. . I think it’s the right thing to do. With proper precautions: ✏️Protecting teachers ✏️Protecting bus drivers ✏️Protecting students ✏️Protecting families . I KNOW that mental health is a HUGE part of this plan, not just for students, but for parents, families, teachers, staff. . Usually I am here talking about positive thinking, but that is not all that this is. This is learning, adapting, listening….and TRAUMA. Parents stressed out about COVID, about the health and safety of not only their children, but their spouse, their elders. This shit is scary AF. Know that I take my role seriously.
