And so I wonder. ☁️ I always wonder. (Struggled to pick my favorite) fernandalopez26

This book was written by one of the first undocumented immigrants to graduate from harvard ... a DACA DREAMer. ⛅️ | Thank you randomhouse and oneworldbooks for gifting me this book The Undocumented Americans by kcornv | Today the Supreme Court blocked Trump from ending DACA. Why is this important? It means that undocumented immigrants who were brought to the US as children (DREAMers) are able to obtain work permits and have temporary protection from deportation. This has changed the lives of countless families. It has given hardworking, prepared, and brilliant young adults a chance to honor and represent us without the constant fear that comes with their circumstances. Read. This. Book. 📚| #dacadreamers #latina #bookstagram #dreamer

I built my amazon office chair, learned how to do a coffee smoothie, and pretended to bark with my dogs today. Little wins. 📸:fernandalopez26

Ever since I was a little girl, my parents would speak to me about values. They would remind me that it didn’t matter what everyone else was doing as long as what I did came from truth, kindness and my core values. They never had to teach me to protect myself because of the color of my skin. I will never know what it’s like to be pulled over or walk with my hoodie on with my hands in my pockets and fear for my life. In truth, I feel embarrassed, I feel shame, because I’ve never had to think about these things before and I’ve never taken the time to inform myself appropriately. I’ve mistaken my personal values as a truth for many. I hope to instill in my children the value of being an ally. Remember to read and look at everything on the news and social media with a critical eye. Inform yourself first. I got the picture I wanted but I liked the messy one better. 🦩Happy Wednesday. #oops #love #stayhome

I was trying to set up my camera for a guest interview on latinequis and realized how exhausted I am. Even while working from home, I have sleep to catch up on. This is the face of managing, producing, editing, hosting, writing and finding time to go out for a run. Truth is, I love every minute of it but I might need some sleep. • • • #wednesday #podcast #radio #latinos #producer #writer #podcaster #latina #may #love

Back in the day (2 years ago). Happy International Dance Day to all my dancers. | Feliz Día Internacional de la Danza 🩰🩰👯‍♀️#internationaldanceday #dance #myoneandonly

When I was younger, my parents didn’t understand why I would run to the book section instead of the toy section in every toy store. Glad to say nothing has changed all these years later. Happy #worldbookday | Swipe for an excited Andrea. #bookstagram

Every day should be earth day. Happy #earthday 🌍

Shout out to the person who risked their life taking this pic. 🏃‍♀️ It’s been 9 years. #running

Many are saying that the world will never be the same. But I fear that it will be. I’ve seen so many amazing things on the news and social media lately. Though celebrities and influencers can also be admired, why have we forgotten for so long about those who worry about us having food on our tables every day, or those keeping us healthy and safe? My hope is that the world does change. That we are kinder and more accepting. That we worry more about what’s happening around the world and try to help. That we change as individuals and unite more as humanity. We all have something to offer and I hope that when we come out on the other side of this, we ask ourselves what we can do to make the world a better place. #stayhome #staysafe #healthyliving

Things I’ve learned during the quarantine: mental health is and should always be a priority, there are many ways to show love and gratitude to those around you without doing it in person, the things we complained about the most like walking to the grocery, going to meetings, attending work events, being too busy to do anything... are the things we end up missing. I’ve learned how important it is to stay connected with each other and listen to yourself because now is the time to work on yourself. And if you’re fortunate enough to be able to, help others even if it is by making their day a little brighter with a “hello”. #mondaymotivation #mountainlife #hiking
