Tried that toilet paper roll spotlight TikTok challenge... needless to say, she’s obsessed.⁣ ⁣ 🧻 ⁣ ⁣ #tiktokchallenges

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤!⁣ ⁣ Insulin safety is a campaign that aims to raise awareness to reduce error among healthcare professionals. Due to it being a high risk medication, the impact of insulin with a patient can be very harmful. ⁣ ⁣ With 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐃-𝟏𝟗, and diabetic patients being at higher risk, management of diabetes is more important than ever. 𝟒𝟎% of insulin-treated patients still have at least one insulin error during their hospital stay.⁣ ⁣ This week is all about reducing that number. 👌🏻⁣ ⁣ 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙨 need to always keep these questions in mind before administrating to patients:⁣ ⁣ ✅ Right Person?⁣ ✅ Right Insulin?⁣ ✅ Right Dose?⁣ ✅ Right Device?⁣ ✅ Right Way?⁣ ✅ Right Time?⁣ ⁣ @ all my diabetic friends, make sure you dose right. (I know I need to get a better handle on it.) Always speak up if the dosage you’re getting is not right! ✊🏻⁣ #InsulinSafetyWeek2020 #ThinkInsulin .

Celebrated 22 until 4am ✌🏻🎉

My brain: don’t say it. My brain: don’t say it. My brain: don’t you dare say it. My brain: I swear if you say it... . . . Me: I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22.🎊 🎉 (I waited 8 years to make that joke @taylorswift ...)

The best part about having younger siblings, is that I know I always have models for random photography stuff, because they always want to be doing whatever it is I’m doing. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #creativephotography

Have you been keeping up with the news?📰 #journalistsofinstagram

What have all the protests accomplished so far? Here’s some good news to celebrate for Juneteenth: . . 1. Four days after killing George Floyd, former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, was charged with third degree murder. The charge was later updated to second degree murder; with his bail set at $1.25 million. 👏🏻 . . 2. The three other police officers at the scene, Thomas Lane, Tou Thao, and J Alexander Kueng, we’re charged with aiding second degree murder; each at $1 million bail. ✅ . . 3. Minneapolis and NYC lawmakers are defunding their police departments, and putting the money into more positive aspects of rebuilding community. 🌹 . . 4. California, Nevada, Texas, and Washington D.C., have banned chokeholds and reviewed police reforms. 👍🏻 . . 5. The Justice in Policing Act has been introduced on Monday, which bans chokeholds, enforces federal police use body/dash cams, and eliminates unannounced police raids as, “no-knock warrants,” making it easier to prosecute police for misconduct.🤝 . . All the hard work hasn’t been for nothing. Stay positive on all we’ve done so far. 🤙🏻 (You can read up on the article where this information came from at businessinsider.com) #blacklivesmatter

“You should stop posting about BLM or Pride month, because it makes us feel uncomfortable.”Swipe for my response—> Get used to feeling uncomfortable. I’ve never been political on social media before, but I’m starting to see how necessary it is as this is a SOCIAL platform. We need to start discussions. If I’m not trying to start conversations, I’ll never hear other sides or learn as much as I can about the world around me. I’ve always been shy and quiet in the past, but I know I can’t be anymore. If something’s bothering me, I have to speak up. Not only that, but I am going into Journalism at KU, so be prepared to hear a lot more from me going forward. Other than that; what resources have you found to be useful during all this?

We’ve made progress this last week in attaining justice for George Floyd, but we’re not done yet. We need to make sure this doesn’t happen again and remember all the people this has affected prior to this week. • @campaignzero has launched #8CANTWAIT a list of 8 policies which when enabled will have the power to reduce police violence by up to 72%. • Only 25/100 major cities actually require officers to report ALL use of force including threatening civilians with a firearm. Only 1% is actually held accountable if they use force, and less than that is ACTUALLY convicted. • Redirecting our hearts and minds in this situation is not enough unless it is made BY LAW. We need to decrease the violence in this country and hold people accountable for their actions. • Please make sure you’re not just posting about these issues and saying you stand by them. TAKE THE ACTIONS FOR CHANGE. • Scroll through the post for more information, take a look at @campaignzero page, and go to 8cantwait.org; the link is in my bio. • (Also I photoshopped this and was pretty happy with how it turned out.✌🏻) #saytheirnames #blacklivesmatter #blm #vote #icantbreathe #humanrights #stoptheviolence #8cantwait

At a time where we have insane technology at our fingertips, it’s unbearable to think that there are still people who choose to sit idly by & stay silent. • “What’s the point of having a voice if you’re gonna be silent in those moments you shouldn’t be?” — Angie Thomas, The Hate U Give. • It’s no longer enough to be quietly non-racist; it’s time to be vocally anti-racist. Educating yourself on the issues at hand, and making absolute sure that you have the WHOLE story, is a step in the right direction. News media gets sticky with their wording & at times care more about the social traffic than the real story. • It’s sad to think that we stay within our own worlds & believe we do not need to help in situations because they, “don’t affect us.” Who are we as human beings if we ignore the suffering of others? • This is NOT an “All lives matter” issue & won’t be until we understand the system we built has always benefitted a part, but not the whole of society. Our system is not “broken,” we just created a shitty system from the get-go & have never seen the issues with it. It’s time to change this NOW. • There are plenty of resources available in this post that you can utilize. No one is going to take you by the hand and educate you on these issues, you have to understand them for yourself. • To everyone else in this community who has suffered greatly: I see you. I hear you. I will stand with you. #blacklivesMatter

My dad turned 50 today, which is 5 decades, 600 months, 2,609 weeks, 18,263 days, 438,312 hours, 26,298,720 minutes, 1,577,923,200 seconds and you probably read that thinking I had a major point to make in all that, but I honestly don’t. I just wanted to see if you’d actually read all of it. Happy birthday, dad.🥳 • • • #happybirthday #happybirthdaydad
