I TRULY believe reading (especially a HARD COPY book) is the best thing you can do for your heart, soul, character, and brain. Studies have shown reading to prevent Alzheimer’s and, when reading a hard copy, tangible book, it helps with memory development; specifically, sequence of events. This blog is to share her passion for the art, shed light on the industry for the dancers of tomorrow, and give a nod to those who are still finding a way to pursue what they love; continually dancing through life!

Fitness Must Haves

The blue Rumble Roller below is great for deep muscle relief. The Progression Roller has a PVC backing, which is great for the huge knots I develop in my IT band and also has three different sides (flat, ridged, and pointed) which also helps target deep into my muscles. Now I wear a knee brace for running, certain gym routines, and after dance rehearsal to help maintain stabilization. Whether I am using it for myself for a quick morning pilates routine, an in-between rehearsal ab/leg sesh combo (in which I put the ring between my ankles and do leg lifts), or am using it to help my students properly utilize their arms while turning (oh yes, they hold them while doing pirouettes!

Excerpts From the Past #1

The sun is at just the right angle so that I feel its rays warmly searing the flesh on my arms, chest, and face and somehow feel it upon my back as well. The sun only warms the top layer, the blue and gold layer. The patches on the upper portion of the rocks, which stand tall, breaking the middle of the river’s current, and a dull green that mixes with a drab yellow, causing it to be visually unappealing. The sun touches this place with a hint of sweetness that tingles your veins leaving you fulfilled and giddy like you’ve been let in on some meaningful secret.
